E-Sports Entertainment (ESEA) announces launch of online CS league. I’m proud to announce today that E-Sports Entertainment (ESEA) is launching our very first season of online league play DONE RIGHT! We’re going to be starting small during our short first trial season with Counter-Strike 1.6 and expanding to support Counter-Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 in subsequent seasons. Through our popular Premium service we’ve created and fine tuned some really cool tools and technologies and now we’re bringing it all together. We’re also exploring local venues to host regular LAN competitions to build this out from the bottom up. Features of ESEA League include:
Our first season will be four weeks long and start on Monday, November 24th with two nights a week of game play (default Monday and Wednesday) and an eight team playoff the first week in January. For our first season we are limiting space to 54 teams with three conferences (East, Central, & West – 9 pm local time default match time), two divisions per conference, and nine teams per division. Each team will play each other team in their division once during the regular season and the map list will be released this Wednesday. First place is $1,000 and second place is $500 with a $5 entry fee, but every player on your team MUST be an ESEA Premium member in order to sign up and compete. Be sure to sign up and get ready for online league play like never before! www.esportsea.com |
