Made in Brazil coach Carlos KIKOOOO Segal has hinted that roster changes could happen in the team. Made in Brazil was hoping to defend its Winter WGT title but the team's fans soon questioned whether this team was actually able to get back to winning ways after a series of mixed results. The Brazilian team kicked off its campaign with close wins over k1ck eSports Club and ESC Gaming but went on to pull off an amazing 16-2 victory over mousesports to secure passage into the quarter-finals on top of Group D. In the knockout stages, mibr tackled Meet Your Makers, whom it was hoping to get back at following an early WCG exit. But despite winning the first map, MYM came from behind to win the match 2-1 and stay in the competition, leaving mibr in despair. Segal did not hide his disappointment to see the team being eliminated this early in the tournament and added that it was caused by tactical errors. "We did not lose because of lack of skills or lack of will," he told GotFrag.com. "Our main problem was tactical-wise. Ever since the first day. Against k1ck as T on de_inferno, our tactics were not what we had decided. We were winning 6-0 and we ended up losing 7-8. "In the second match against ESC Gaming, we played well as CT but as T we did not use some tactics we should have. We made several mistakes but managed to win 16-14. I argued with them before the game against mousesports and maybe that woke them up, they played very well as CT. They could have won 15-0 but they made mistakes in two rounds and ended up making it 13-2. "I was told by the team (because I am in Brazil) that in the knockout stages each team had to remove one map. We decided to remove de_nuke and I only created tactics for the other three maps. "Early today, they told me teams would not remove maps. We picked de_dust2 and played well, winning 16-10 despite losing an eco as CT. On de_nuke, I knew we were going to lose but not by such a huge margin. That is our worst map and the one we practiced the least. As T we could have insisted on certain tactics that were working but I was not there with them. "Before the game on de_train, we had a problem and arguments between some players happened. Once again I could not do anything and I left it in their hands. They made a mistake in the pistol round as CT, which is basically three rounds, then made a mistake in a round that was almost won, having to make two ecos, they made a mistake in another round and then lost the last one when in advantage. "If you take that into account, it was four rounds just as CT that they either made mistakes or gave away rounds that were already won. "In my eyes they should be congratulated but they always make mistakes. Unfortunately they lost a game that was almost won and with that the chance to go to the semi-finals." On the possibility of Made in Brazil undergo roster changes, Segal noted: "Probably. I think we will now go on vacation and start making plans for 2009. "With poor results, changes are always welcome. They have played like seven tournaments, practiced in Sweden but failed to live up to the organisation's expectations." Made in Brazil captain Renato nak Nakano had stated earlier this week that he did not believe any other Brazilian player could join the team and be successful, something Segal does not agree on. "I am sure they are all in the top 10 in Brazil, but there are many players that have never had the chance to grow and there are always those war veterans that have already played for mibr and have potential," he stated. "Even if I agreed with nak, it has been proved that the best not always win. Playing seven tournaments and failing to win a single one with major teams in attendance, there is something wrong! We will examine what happened and improve for 2009!" |

KIKOOO bruno cogu fnx bit1 can be great in my opinion.
and if not , they got a lot of options like: gAuLes ton cky Lance pava etc... etc...
good luck mibr.
kiko was never even a hands down top 3 player when he played...and he sure as hell was never an upper echelon strategist. This is why MiBR has always underperformed, they play extremely blandly and are way over-hyped.
I agree when he says that on de_train they could have won easy, MiBR made a lot of mistakes in important rounds.
And about the changes, I think it's really necessary to grow up Brazilian's scene because the same players play for Made in Brazil for many years. But I would like to see BTT, nak and cogu on the next lineup.
#10 I really won't argue to someone that says that kiko wasn't the top 3 of HIS time when I know he is top 3 of all times. Just DL some 2006 mibr demos when they didn't lose anything.
or just keep the same lineup... and nak just started stratcalling give hime more time? theres no doubt that a new lineup will players outside mibr will fail due to lack of exp.
pretty much agree with #15 but cogu hasn't been playing his best the past couple tourneys.
his stats went down

cogu's went up

Fnatic is a good example of this. They understand they need no roster changes, you just cant win every event anymore. They are still top 3 in the world no matter what anybody says. fnatic and mtw have won the most first places in 2008 than anybody and the fact is FNATIC Just cannot beat MTW. They just dont mesh well against them and they just cannot beat them.
bottom line:
sk is amazing
fnatic is amazing
mibr is amazing
mouz is amazing
mym is amazing
mtw is amazing
you cant beat all those teams every event. IMPOSSIBLE
and KIKOOO is terribad.
Yup, I dont understand why they cut ton in the first place. maybe a social thing ?
He was ridiculously good and carried the team when they still played with btt cky etc.
i agree
hes not even amongst the top20, maybe top30, rather top50
well an talking about lineup changes? you've clearly seen this year that mouz mastered to be one of the best teams worldwide after two years of not being performing really well. just give the mibr guys them some time. changing the lineup will probably not increase their performence
Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Bayern...
fnatic, SK, GamePlay, mibr, mouz, alternate, MYM, eStrO, Giants, BLANK, ATS...
#26 is correct, all top teams are good teams and is impossible win all tournaments.
cs 1.6 never die because it's like football, football is the sport's world number one for the competitiveness that exists in the matches and anything can happen between the big teams like happen in cs 1.6.
like you said teams like mtw , sk, mym , fnatic, estro, mouses, gameplay, mibr can win any tournament cause they are in the same level
i think kiko job is to find the difference that makes nowdays mtw win ever tournament
and i think that the difference of Mtw is knowlagde cause all 5 players are really intelligent
there are a lot of teams in the same level, cs in random now =xx
but one thing he΄s right ;xx "we had a problem and arguments between some players happened" if are someplayers causing problem, they must be kicked from mibr =/
mibr with teamplay and the feeling of " I REALLY WANNA WIN" , can win every team.
i hate changes.
take a lesson mibr...
pd: of course that paolo velloso is mad.. cuz is expensive to send ppl to play in another country..this is all the sh$%%
Theres some good players that deserves another/new chance in the team, like batistuta, fallen, bruno, cky, lance, spacca, etc...
That's it.
Sad but true
