The Electronic Sports League has confirmed the removal of Spirit of Amiga from the Extreme Masters league.
The Danish team was sitting last of Group A with four defeats from its four encounters, having won just two maps.

Spirit of Amiga has now been removed from Extreme masters after breaking the league's penalty point limit.

A statement on the ESL's website reads: "They were removed today after they were given their 11th minor penalty point taking them over the 30% prize money reduction limit. In summary the penalties received were:

8 - All players must have Premium
3 - Missing or incomplete Statements/Lineup"

Meanwhile, the ESL has confirmed that every match played by Spirit of Amiga in the league will be deleted, though the teams in the group will keep the win bonuses from the matches.
