x3o and Gravitas have traded veteran players to form new CS squads.
X3O and Gravitas Gaming have both made official announcements regarding player acquisitions. The teams have seemingly traded players, with Dan “mehLer” Mehler making a return to the x3o camp and Thomas “thoMz” Garcia heading over to Gravitas to help fill out that roster. Garcia will be helping to fill a spot left by veteran player Matt "PaTyoJoN" Iantosca who is departing the Gravitas roster.

In an announcement on the Gravitas website, the organization stated "The loss of two long time members of the team was a decision that was hard to come to, however the team is confident the addition of Thomas Garcia will not only keep Gravitas Gaming at the top of the American Counter-Strike scene but help propel the team to the top of the Counter-Strike world."

Gravitas Gaming Roster:
Ediz "GG.goodfornothing" Basol
Derrick "GG.impulsivE" Troung
Ben "GG.ben" Hui
Thomas "GG.thoMz" Garcia
TBA

In the official announcement on the x3o website, owner Nick Fitz had this to say, "I personally am very excited about having the opportunity to work with Dan again. He is a phenomenal player and I have seen firsthand how well he plays under pressure. I think that he will make a great addition to our team and will help us reach our goals for 2009. This also is the first time in over a year that we have an all east coast based Counter-Strike team. This will give us more opportunities to get involved in our local communities as well as attend local LAN events.”

X3O Roster:
Andrew “dRew” Timmerman
Ryan “NineSpot” Bell
David “savi0r” Park
Jeff “hero” Mettetal
Dan “mehLer” Mehler

Mehler had this to say about his return to x3o in the official announcement, “I had a great time representing the x3o org my first time around so it was an obvious choice to come back. Although it will be hard to break old habits after playing with the same team for so long, the new x3o lineup looks very promising and I can’t wait to start practice and playing :].”
