Counter-Strike: Virtus.pro swoops for trio

Virtus.pro has decided to undergo roster changes in the Counter-Strike team ahead of the New Year.
The Russian team was recently seen in action at Rekrut.ru Championship 08, where it finished runner-up to mTw, clinching $6,560 USD.

Virtus.pro has now decided to return to an all-Russian squad, something it had not witnessed since June 2007.

It has been confirmed that Ukrainian trio Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev, Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko and Mykhailo "kane" Blagin have been shown the exit door at the team.

Meanwhile, Virtus.pro has captured Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov, who had been a free agent following his departure from Amazing Gaming, as well as EYESports duo Denis "diNGo" Kolomenskiy and Ivan "Xenitron" Totskiy.

Team coach Konstantin “groove” Pikiner insists that this move was not caused by the team's recent results.

"I want to stress that this decision is not related with the team's results," Pikiner noted. "Recently, the team demonstrated an outstanding and stable game."

Virtus.pro has now the following line-up:

Russia Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov
Russia Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov
Russia Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov
Russia Denis "diNGo" Kolomenskiy
Russia Ivan "Xenitron" Totskiy
