Counter-Strike: MoB announces roster for 2009

By: Rob Maher - Published January 05, 2009 at 12:44 AM EST - Writer Archive
MoB joins the bandwagon by switching up their roster for the new year. They've added Albert "hahN" Hahn, Cyrus "org" Habibi, Hoang "s0nNy" Tran, and Jimmy "foogz" Fogle to compliment Noah "StrikeR" Alvarado.
With the CGS going down in flames, the American Counter-Strike scene has been flourishing. Top players are returning to form new teams for 2009, and MoB Gaming is no different.

Joining up with Noah "Striker" Alvarado are three former CGS players, Albert "hahN" Hahn, Cyrus "org" Habibi, and Hoang "s0nNy" Tran -- the latter being teammates with the Carolina Core.

They've managed to pull Jimmy "foogz" Koller out of retirement to complete the roster.

"For me, the CGS dying basically re-invented my CS career, I had basically moved on from gaming in both mind and spirit knowing that the future was Source and CGS," Fogle told MoBDeep.net.

Habibi seems confident about the switch back, noting that their team is ready for the competition.

"Are we ready? Yes. In winning form? Not yet. It'll definitely take some time, but I wouldn't be playing if I didn't truly believe we could dominate the rankings," he said.

"I feel confident that this team will be one of the top teams not only in the US but internationally as well," Alvarado added.

The MoB lineup is now the following:

United States Noah "StrikeR" Alvarado
United States Cyrus "org" Habibi
United States Albert "hahN" Hahn
United States Jimmy "foogz" Koller
United States Hoang "s0nNy" Tran
