Counter-Strike: LowLandLions announces new team

By: Andrew Cionga - Published January 10, 2009 at 8:36 PM EST - Writer Archive
The Belgian organization has confirmed its new roster for 2009.
Following a series of unimpressive results, the LowLandLions organization has decided to replace almost their entire 1.6 team with a completely new set of players. The only remaining member will be Belgian player Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum, who is most notably known for his time playing for top Belgian teams defusekids and CEA.

Joining Wuddhisukhum will be an all Dutch lineup headlined by veteran player Ferdi "xire" Senel. Rounding out the last three spots are up and coming players from the Benelux 1.6 scene, Dennis "seezung" Seesing, Mike "trx" Degger and Tom "tommeh" Nijenhuis.

In a statement released on the LowLandLions website, team manager Filip "dusty" Langerock outlined the reasons for the change:

" We are delighted to welcome a new and motivated team in our midst. With this team LowLandLions fills a final gap in our team-portfolio. By adding rather big Benelux players we assured ourselves of a group of people that will be able to outstand the Benelux and stand up against international competition. We are looking forward to it."

The LLL lineup now consists of:
Belgium Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum
Netherlands Ferdi "xire" Senel
Netherlands Dennis "seezung" Seesing
Netherlands Mike "trx" Degger
Netherlands Tom "tommeh" Nijenhuis
