Counter-Strike: KODE5 2009 USA Seeds Announced

The seedings for the 2009 USA finals have been released, as well as the first round matches.

GotFrag.com - On March 14th in Dallas, Texas, Lethal Gamers will be hosting the KODE5 USA Regional Finals. Up for grabs is a spot at the prestigious KODE5 Global Finals held in Moscow, Russia later this year.

Today the seedings for that qualifier were released. Teams on the list include the winner of the previous LG Qualifier, EG.usa who takes top seed, as well as the three additional teams invited soon after taking second to fourth seed. The four teams invited recently as a surprise addition take the final four seedings.

The tournament has been confirmed as a double-elimination bracket, with single map matchups.

EG.usa gets a higher seed then x3o? thats a joke

I think FD and a few of those teams should be ahead of complexity, regardless if they are known to be better on LAN but who knows. Look for some upsets according to these seedings.

had to be a random seeding, otherwise these guys are beyond morons. coL #4? EG #1? half of gotfrag could beat coL playing with their feet and their monitors off. lordy the biased seeds are laughable.

everyones an annoying x3o fan..theyve been beat how about you realize that. gravitas beat them, FD has beat them, iDemise has beat them GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD x3o isnt the top team. they arent even consistant

LOL #27??? I don't think x3o 16-5 over iDemise is a loss in CEVO-P, and plus the matches they lost to Gravitas and FD were a deciding round and that was online, too bad on land they wrecked all these teams...and that's the point they are a far much better team on lan then they are online... x3o is representing the USA in MOSCOW thank you, and now GTFO...

between GG and x3o..GG has beaten x3o in the past, everyones on x3o right now because of there comeback win at the winter finals...either way its gonna be a good finals

Frag Dominant and x3o will be the two strongest teams at this event, hopefully well see them matched up for finals. I'd personally like to see x3o representing the US at kode5. This tournament is going to put EG and coL in some real perspective for the people that still think they are top world teams.

i doubt FD can LAN as well as col

- EG.usa showed up at the qualifiers and won it.. kode5 had to reward them with the #1 seed
- coL was one of the original 4 selected.. it would be dumb to seed them any lower
- the seedings are perfect given the situation and circumstances that lead to it

#36 The seedings are right. EG should be #1 because they are the only team to actually qualify. coL should be 4 because they were the last team originally invited.

38, just because kode5 made a poor choice inviting coL as one of the first 4 teams doesn't mean they can't correct their decision. In terms of how they're playing no one can argue that coL should be sitting in 7th place on that list and not in 4th.

#35, FD is essentially the old EG lineup (without hostile/nothing). that's the same team that gave the best euro teams a run for their money. if quas and nepo play like they've been playing over the past month i don't think anyone would be surprised if they actually win the thing.

#35 you are giving Complexity way too much credit at the moment. Maybe in 6 months they will be able to do something, but right now they just aren't very good.

#39 I agree that made a poor choice by inviting coL as the first 3 invites. However they did correct their mistake by inviting the other 4 teams. I agree with their seedings because they went by the qualifier then the invitees. Other than that I don't think the seeds even matter, the better teams will come out on top. coL has been playing like crap, but they will have a month to hopefully play respectably, if not there will probably be some changes. All together I think it will be between EG, x3o, GG, and FD, with strong matches between all the teams.
