In their second matches of the day, two strong teams from Group B face off in the EM Global Finals. fnatic played well throughout the Continental Finals, but met resistance in a close match to ALTERNATE in the upper bracket semi-finals. Taking the first half, fnatic couldn't hold on to take it in the second half, losing the match 16-14. They were later dropped by MYM in the lower finals and took a commendable fourth place finish. x3o comes into the Global Finals as arguably the strongest American team, and looks to showcase on the world stage how far American Counter-Strike has come. After opening their first match against fellow American team, EG.usa, x3o will get their first taste of a European opponent. Even as fnatic is still getting accustomed to their new additions, x3o will be in for a difficult, but sure-to-be exciting match against one of the top teams in Europe. ![]() ![]()
