Garett "GRT" Bambrough interviews Scott ‘evolution’ Cavallero at ETS
Thanks for doing the interview can you please introduce to yourself to the fans who may not know who you are.

My name is Scott ‘evolution’ Cavallero and I’m currently playing for WinOut.net. I was previously a part of Frag Dominant, Evil Genius’, as well as MoB gaming.

Coming to this event Winout picked you and some players up. Can you please clarify to the community who the players are and how it came about?

The players are the former Frag Dominant lineup minus steno which would be myself, quas, che, and aZn.

Everyones favorite news lately is the x3o pickups/drops, as a player who has a lot of experience playing with steno how do you feel the team will play in the future short/long term and do you believe it was a smart move on x3o’s part?

In my personal opinion I think that it was really an unwise move. They’re really following the formula of every North American team of the past two years by changing lineups after one or two sub-par performances at a major event. I think if they kept their former lineup and just worked through problems it would only make them a stronger team over time.

Coming to ETS what team do you feel will give you the greatest challenge and why?

Scott ‘evolution’ Cavallero
I’m going to say NSU as they practice the most against the other top teams in North America and from what I’ve seen they practice a good amount so I’m sure they will be on their game.

Like I asked before with xp3, what do you think the gaming community will be like in the future with ESWC sponsors dropping out, AMD leaving esports and possibly Intel? Can it rebound?

It will hopefully rebound over time, The world is in a tough economical situation as of the past few years, so it is obvious to expect a substantial decrease in sponsorship money.

What happened with frag dominant? After the showing at Kode 5 where the team had a solid tourney it was surprising to see the departure of steno.

Practice time was limited in weeks prior due to work and school scheduling conflicts. I think given the amount of time we had to practice with such a new lineup, though disappointing, our performance was not all that bad.

The placings at Kode5 could be classified as expected or could have been a surprise. GG and x3o have been at the top the past while and still seem to be a step ahead of the others. With the results from Kode5 teams like EG.usa, pandemic, idemise… do you feel that teams are getting really close to being able to knock down the 2 top teams from there pedestal and making results really unpredictable?

As I stated previously I really think that x3o has set themselves back given the roster shakeup. As far as the other teams such as pandemic and idemise I think they are indeed catching up as they practice a lot and are all very hungry to reclaim a top spot in the North American rankings.

How are you liking Montreal thus far, what will you guys find yourself doing on this beautiful (cold) Saturday night?

chE as well as myself will be hitting up a club tonight, and the rest of the guys are probably going to go get some drinks after we’re finished playing part of the bracket play.

Any shoutouts?

To our new sponsor WinOut.net for giving up the opportunity to attend this lan on such short notice. Without the support we would have not been able to make the trip and it is greatly appreciated.
