Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen has signed a contract with Evil Geniuses. The well-known Finnish player will arrive in the United States on Tuesday.
GotFrag.com - The Evil Genius organization roster has just made changes that will surely turn more than a few heads not only in North America, but overseas as well. On the heels of their victory over coL tonight, EG let go of Corey "hanes" Hanes and in his place they have revealed a rather surprising choice.

Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen, known for his past play in Wings, hoorai, 69N-28E, GamePlay, roccat, and just about every Finnish team with any amount of international success ever, will become a part of the EG.usa starting lineup as soon as the upcoming CEVO Playoffs. According to Alex Garfield, General Manager of EG, Kovanen will "be here long-term, we're already well into the process of finalizing [the paperwork], and won't have any problems."

Although he had recently announced his retirement, Kovanen stated that the offer from EG was just too good to turn down. Expressing a high level of excitement at the prospect of playing for a North American team, he stated in an exclusive interview with GotFrag.com "when EG contacted me and asked if I might be interested in coming over to the states and joining them, it didn't take me long to make up my mind. I have always wanted to go abroad and play for an international team."

EG's new addition will be staying with Danny "fRod" Montaner at his Texas residence and begin practicing with EG immediately. The team has confirmed that they will be competing with Kovanen in the CEVO Playoffs.
