With GeT_RiGhT and GuX, Lemon Dogs was able to take down SK Gaming in a best of three match up to win DHS 2009 Coming out of Group C, Lemon Dogs went undefeated throughout group play as well as in their Quarter and Semifinal match ups. Starting off against SK they were able to take first half of de_nuke 10-5, finishing up the map 16-10. Following nuke the two teams met up on de_train where the strong AWPs from SK sealed a 16-11 victory bringing the match to a third map. For the third map the two teams met up on de_dust2, arguably SK's weakest map. Coming out with a dominant T Side SK found themselves up 12-2 with the last round to be decided by a 1v1 between walle and threat, walle had faked threat out by planting B but made peaked unnecessarily and was spammed down by threat giving the round to Lemon Dogs. With the momentum gained from winning the last round Lemon Dogs was able to put up 12 rounds themselves T Side and brought the map into overtime. With momentum on their side Lemon Dogs closed out OT winning the first half 2-1 and second half 2-0 making themselves the Champions of Dreamhack Summer 2009! Though Lemon Dogs used two of fnatic's star players for this event all of their normal players played well showing once again just how strong the Swedish scene is, hopefully Lemon Dogs will continue to see strong results with their normal roster in events in the future. Stay tuned to GotFrag for DHS 2009 demos and for more events this summer.
