GotFrag.com - After deciding a change was needed in their newly acquired 1.6 squad, eMg looked to former North Stars United and Dimension 4 player David "Xp3" Garrido. Garrido will be taking the place of Keith "keefers" Spies who will no longer be a member of the team. As Garrido hails from France he will unfortunately be unable to compete in the WCG qualifier with eMg due to nationality restrictions, but he will be joining the team as their new fifth for all other tournaments including the ESEA LAN Finals, and the upcoming CEVO-P season which eMg qualified for earlier this week.

During his time with NSU he managed to acheive a .731 FPR and 80.4 ADR thus far in ESEA Invite Season 3. Xp3 was also well known for his fragging abilities in France where he played for multiple of their top LAN teams. There is no doubt he is a solid fragger, but as his primary language is french, and as he is typically an awper it will be interesting to see how he fits in with eMg as Sean "sgares" Gares has traditionally been their AWP player.

GotFrag was able to get in touch with Dustin "dizzaman" Dilyerd who had an answer to whether or not Garrido would become the primary awper, he had this to say:

"Yes Xp3 will become our primary AWP, but sgares will continue awping as well, a lot of our setups on most maps allow us to use both of their awps."

At this time it is unknown who the team's fifth will be for WCG Qualifiers.

great pickup, but why's keefers out? did he quit or did he get the boot? He's been at or towards the top of the team frag-wise about every game i've seen of them lately. either way, xp3 is a beast. gl in the future!

Really terrible pickup. If Keith was cut instead of quitting this is probably the dumbest roster move I've ever seen.

Why try and fix a roster that is working well already? Especially to bring in a foreigner over a local guy you've been fragging with forever. You already locked up a LAN finals spot.

Anyway, hopefully Keefers is just moving on. Otherwise this team will fall into the category of forgotten teams when it starts falling apart in 4 months. Pretty sad.

Good luck anyway, always have to root for the local guys.

Edit: It's not that Xp3 is bad... he is probably overall better than Keefers. But it's not always about the frags...

david speaks english just fine! he also lives in montreal, so it's a lot closer than you think :D

i agree with #10... xp3 is a completely diff styled player from all of the ruins players....... he is great and all but ruins definetly had a good thing going in terms of chemistry.

#15 Xp3 hasnt looked to good the last few canadian lans he went too. I thought keefers was top3 on this team. They picked up someone better though, i just wish keefers was still playing and they removed another player.

#29 They are friends, but the team came to a unanimous agreement over this switch. All of us still like Keith and that his removal from the roster will never effect that. He was removed for the plain and simple fact that he couldn't stick with the practice schedule the guys were wanting to keep and communication breakdowns. We have continuously ran into this issue with him, and although Keith is an amazing shot and a great guy the team decided a change needed to be made to fix this. We still hope to keep Keith on as a 6th man, but that is his decision whether or not he wants to stick with us. At any rate I know for my part I wish him the best of luck in whatever he decides and I still love the animation watching lil guy. :P

I really don't like the change they put. I thought emg was a team with great chemistry even though they might not necessarily be the best. Hope it works out, but beyond this is NSU. They were a very mediocre (probably subpar in most people's books) team before they lost Xp3. Now they are mid esea-main.

hmmm.. we played them last night on a dallas, i believe, and xp3 only had 50 ping... not that bad... considering we all live in california and we had 60 ping..

According to ESEA, keefers was third best on his team after dizzman and sgares. truls is trolling the bottom of the stats with a .624 FPR. However he makes up for it by leading the team in bomb plants.

Xp3's English is equal to or better than anyone who I've played with. He's very skilled and has a lot of knowledge about the game. Also to those questioning his location, he actually pings better than me to TX servers and like #44 said, I live in AZ.

feel bad for NSU they were doing pretty good in ESEA I yeah they were 5 9 0 but if you look at like 8 out of 9 of their losses they generally won about 12 rounds on the other team so its obvious almost all their matches could have gone the other way TBH everytime i watched them it really looked like lalonde was holding them back he just looked like a whole skill level down compared to everyone else
Parad1ss is nasty with the awp and SKZ is pretty solid too would much rather have seen NSU steal somebody from nopression rather than see xp3 leave for eMg LoL?

Did Xp3 BAIT ????? in North Stars United, he always baited his teammates. That was sad and mad (for NSU). I knew, he had alot of EGO. Sometimes when I had time, I watched him and he was "terrible". He always TRIES to noscope when he can just scope and kill him. I know it, cuz NSU just lost that round when he did that. Good Luck Have Fun I Guess.
