GotFrag eSports

GotFrag.com - With almost all of the teams set in place, and the event just around the corner, GameGune has released the group draw for the event. The group outline is sure to bring some exciting play, even with quite a few upsets possible.

Alternate and mousesports should easily make it out of group play while other teams will be challenging each other to the final rounds to see who can make it to the elimination brackets.

GameGune 2009, which is scheduled to take place on July 23-25th in Bilbao, Spain will feature a prize purse of �22,500. While there will be no American teams, nor the top teams of fnatic, SK, and mTw, the event thus far is looking as if it will have some great competition and representation of much of Europe. Theres a lot of participants for this tournament wich makes me really happy for the future counter strike scene.

although I think it is a big problem that e-stars is being a bigger priority for the top teams when this years Gamegune consists of so many great teams.

This event is starting to grow, and I really think that next years gamegune 2010 if there will be one is going to be the modern cpl if SK, estro, wnv, fnatic, EG. coL and mTw will attend.

And ofcourse the pricemoney must get bigger if gamegune want to establish themselves as a big LAN tournament to be reckoned with.

I am happy none of those teams are attending (well really just SK and fnatic and mTw) because I wanna see another team have a shot right now... wanna see where the CS scene really is at this point of uncertainty.

And oh boy do we ever get a chance to watch a lot of teams!! Going to be a long day of CS which was always fun around CPL time.
