GotFrag.com - Never before has there been a qualifier for the DreamHack tournament in Asia. That is all about to change. After the partnership with the Go International Group, DreamHack has announced its first Asian qualifier.

The qualifier will take place during the Independent Youth Festival and will be played at the Utama Shopping Center August 1st and 2nd. That will only be the first qualifier though, as the final qualifier will be played at GO.esc Grand Finals October 14th-18th. The winner of that event will win a spot in the DreamHack winter from November 26th-29th.

David Garpenstahl, DreamHack Sweden CEO, had this to say to HLTV.org: "I am very pleased that together with Go International Group, we are now able to bring DreamHack to Malaysia. Since this is the first time ever we will have a DreamHack qualifier in Asia, it makes it even more special for us. We are looking forward to a great and successful co-operation with Go International Group and we are also looking forward to welcoming the Malaysian players to Sweden and the DreamHack Winter festival from 26-29 November."
