DE_DUST2

The Titans' de_dust2 Defense

*Defensive note*

Notice how The Titans set up on this side of the map as their default tactic. It is an amazing new concept and makes one think maybe this is how dust2 was meant to be played competitively. The Titan's setup in a 3-2 formation, but it is nothing of the ordinary.

eGene

eGene is going to be the long A player on dust2. He is going to be long A solo 90% of the time unless eraz decides to set up on the long A platform while he is in the pit when they stray from their default tactic. During default eGene is going to be playing long A very aggressive in two different types of setup. He is always going to lead into long A by tossing either a flash or an HE right away into the entrance. eGene's job is going to be to sit in the pit with a flashbang out at all times, spotting for terrorists to come out of the entrance. As soon as he spots them, he will bank his flashbang off of the big box to the right and delay them long enough for eraz to fall back from his position and get a crossfire on long A. This is what will normally be seen from eGene, but don't get too confident, he is also a very agressive player and will often play pretty close up when the default tactic is not in play. Also, note that he is EXTREMELY quick on a flank. When a player drops catwalk or B, he has a horrible habbit of pushing up way too fast on the flank. Against a lot of teams offenses (i.e. 3D and SK), this will get him killed.

Eraz

Eraz is the most important part of the entire Titans' defense. He will be playing middle, but not the conventional middle since he is playing near the long A ramp. Eraz is going to start off at long A with eGene throwing nades into the entrance. After this is clear, he will fall back to his position watching middle through spawn. Now, a lot of people assume The Titans must place Eraz here because of his amazing long ranged colt to watch such a difficult spot. On the contrary, Eraz's only job is to spot the middle to make sure the 2 B players are not getting flanked from the doors/window. This is a very good position due to KK having a wider angle to see the catwalk with his AWP. Eraz will then have enough time to change his positioning and aim at catwalk if any terrorists peek. He is also in perfect distance to backup eGene to set up a crossfire down at long A.

*Defensive note*
Although this tactic worked great in the ESWC finals, spiXel wised up and began double smoking CT spawn, forcing The Titans' to change their setup.

KK

KK will be watching the catwalk a lot from the long A ramp with an AWP just above the boxes. This is a very defensive position, but it gives him great distance from the opponents to send a series of flashes and HE nades into the site on their rush. This will slow the opponents down enough for the rest of his team to back him up. On occasion, The Titans are going to change their setup at the beginning of the round for a quick catwalk pick.

*Defensive note*

On occasion, The Titans is going to setup for a quick catwalk pick and they set up fast. KK is going to go middle with whimp and drally and hop onto whimp's head in middle with his awp to get a long angle on catwalk. Meanwhile, eraz and eGene will be in their setup at long A with one in the pit and one on long A platform. As soon as KK gets a pick on catwalk, he will drop from whimp's head and hurry back to his normal spot on the CT ramp.

whimp/Drally

The B bombsite is going to be covered by whimp and Drally. These two have a lot of pressure taken off of their shoulders by their teammates, which gives them the ability to focus all of their attention on the hallway. whimp is going to be the close ranged firepower while Drally is set up on the platform with an AWP. Once a team starts playing more middle based and smoking CT spawn so that Eraz cannot spot, whimp will fall back to the double doors to spot middle. When whimp has to actually watch middle, he does it very defensively next to bombsite B, so he may still achieve his responsibility of backing up Drally as much as possible if the opponent comes out of the B halls.

The Titans' de_dust2 Offense

The Titan's offense is going to be timed pretty well to attack bombsite from two different sides almost every round.

B Tactic

On a B tactic, you can expect 3 Titan players to be sitting in the hallways while eGene and whimp clear out the middle very slowly and carefully. Once this is done, they will head down the ramp leading with a flash out of the double doors and then double smoking CT spawn. This will be timed with the 3 hall players to attack bombsite B.

*Offensive note*

Look for eGene and whimp to do this head stack in middle EVERY round.

A Tactic

On a tactic aimed for bombsite A, The Titans will spread out a little more in a 1-3-1 sort of positioning. This will be sending 3 to the catwalk and one long A on the initial rush. Drally will hang back at middle double doors or B to catch the opponents in the back trying to head through CT spawn. When The Titans take bombsite A from catwalk, they are going to role-reverse by tossing flashes and nades over to the ramp to delay the CT's as long as possible. This gives them a huge window to plant the bomb.
