Counter-Strike: Bootman's Playbook: SK

SK Inferno Defense

Spawn/Heaton

This is probably the most defensive you will ever see SK play. These two's entire setup is based on spotting and flashing. It looks a lot like the catwalk setup on dust2. One spots, and one is right there with a flashbang behind him. Their favorite peak is jumping up behind the back right boxes with a flashbang and lobbing it over once they spot an enemy.

Most of the time heaton will be peaking while spawn is floating around with a flashbang. Beware of him sitting with his face burried in the wall, this will pretty much shield him from flashes over the wall, but it is a definate spot to check.

Bootman's Tip: I advise baiting the flashes like on dust2. Do quick peaks and fall back so they waiste their nades. Fall back to banana, flashbang over the wall, they are completely empty and have no way of returning flashes.

Fisker/Ahl/Potti

SK comes very prepared in bombsite A. They never play the same spot twice, and all 3 players have the possibility of playing all 3 spots.

First lets recognize SK's paranoia of the right side of the middle. They always leave this area covered. This way terrorists won't be able to flank the B players through the CT spawn. Watch for the boost above the vines, someone in the sand pit, and rarely someone near CT spawn to shoot passing by T's in the back.

SK has been known to push up through the halls. One way to know they have pushed and there is probably one hiding to the left of the stairs is the noise. Ahl oversells this a lot. He will shoot, spam the wall, throw flashes at the stairs, basically saying "HEY LOOK AT ME WHEN YOU COME UP! NOT THE GUY CAMPING TO THE LEFT!".

They also do a headstack on the close right side corner with the one on top aiming a gun, and the one on bottom having a flashbang for when a full rush happens. When they do this expect the left side player to be keeping an eye on the window room door as well as checking halls every now and then.

Also beware of the sandbox.

My suggestion is hit the window, watch for the player spotting the entrance, if he's not there go towards the bombsite, check the sand pit, if they aren't there, toss all of your nades into the bombsite and you should be fine.

SK Inferno Offense

I'd like to start off with saying I really hope SK has worked on their inferno offense, because at CPL Summer 2004 I was disgusted at their tactics. SK had two tactics when it came to inferno at winter CPL and it wasn't too impressive.

Bombsite B: When they go B you will know it. Why? Because 4 will push up banana. They don't fake B, they go banana and then take B after watching for aggressive play by the offense. All it takes is a flashbang over the wall and a quick peak and if you see more than one SK there, they are coming B.

Bombsite A: When going bombsite A they like to do a 1-3-1 split. 1 will sit back to watch the banana push flank. 1 sits hallways for a decent amount of time watching for a push down the stairs. Meanwhile 3 work slowly up the middle. When they are ready to take the site the right side is completely blinded from middle and the hallways and they head straight into the site.
