The Xtreme League is over and it proved to be a really interesting event. Although it did not turn out as expected, the league completed its objectives, giving the Peruvian Gaming Community a second opportunity to prove itself and bringing sponsors to the scene.

This year’s league faced a lot of surprises. The top teams lost to the underdogs and the WCG Peru 2004 champions, Team Artyk, revalidated their title after winning the league.
Here I am going to recap what has happened and what to expect from the Peruvian teams in the near future.

Final Group Standings

Group A
1 Speed

3 Forbidden

The favorite team, Speed, took first place after beating Forbidden and In Game and later by tying with C.Zone. Team C.Zone beat Forbidden and got second place in the group.

Group B

In the first surprise of the event, team taLent got first place in Group B, while the favorite InSane took second. Team taLent was a fairly unknown team coming into this event.

Group C

The team for whom everyone had high expectations, r4sh, took first place in Group C after beating every team. Team f4u got 2nd place just as expected.


Group D

In another surprise, the underdog team Ownage beat the favorite nF and took first place in this group.

Group E

4 PG's

PG’s, considered to be the favorite for winning this group, did not attend the event due to personal reasons. The other two top teams, RH- and sNtiaL, took their respective places after both of them beat team uLs and then played a match against each other that RH- won.

Group F

4 Ankh

Finally, the big surprise of the event, defending champions team MoNkeY were beaten down by teams S.pe and pS.

Group G

The favorite, team Artyk, took first place as expected. They displayed great team play and chemistry showing that they are still the number one team in Peru. Team 2S got second place after beating Anality and RCB.

Group H

The favorite, team choseN, grabbed first place after beating team Xpack and uC on Mill and Dust2 respectively. Xpack got second place in the group after beating uC. Team PoC did not attend the event due to one of its players being ill.
