CPL Brazil is upon us and GotFrag took the opportunity to interview two South American players, demolaishoN from team ARMY and SirDeath from PuntoCL. Interviews by Jose "swo0sh" Guzman Interview with demolaishoN from aRmy Hello demolaishoN. Could you please introduce yourself, and give a little background on your accomplishments throughout your Counter-Strike career? Hi there! My name is Santiago Boatello. I've played in teams like Fa (winner WCG 2004), A-Immmortals, merger, suicide machines, and ms. I'm now in ARMY. This team has given me very good moments in Counter-Strike and in life, I consider it a family too. What is aRmy's current lineup? Juan Martín “Kalash” Hernandez Agustín “vaka” Vasquez Julián García “Gray Fox” Blánquez Santiago “RTF” Cabrera Santiago “demolaishoN” Boatello How long have you guys been playing together? And how has it been so far? We have been playing since 05-05-05. The team was made specially for this CPL , so we have been training specially for WT Rio. It has been good so far, but I think we need more preparation. We will do our best job and won’t disappoint our fellow Argentineans. What is your most memorable gaming experience? My most memorable gaming experience was going to Chile, to the Tarreo tournament. It was the first time I left the country to play Counter-Strike. I went with 4 friends, not a team, but we met a lot of players. We made very good friends there, like PuntoCL players. I hope in this CPL to meet more players, gain more experience, and try to give our best effort. What do you think of the gaming scene in Argentina? How difficult is it to find sponsors? The gaming scene here in Argentina is very young, and we don't have support of sponsors. I think that’s our problem here. We can't grow without the sponsors, but the desire to grow is in everyone here so we don't stop training, practicing, playing this game. I think this is our opportunity to make history and with getting a good performance maybe we will get some offers from sponsors. Do you have an in-game leader? Yes we have one, Julián García “Gray Fox” Blánquez. How often has aRmy been practicing for the CPL World Tour Brazil? Since we formed we have been preparing for this CPL World Tour. I mean with this line up. ARMY is one of the oldest teams here in Argentina, with a lot of history. Do you feel confident as a team going into the event? We have confidence in ourselves, but we are aware we will have to do a very big effort to get a good performance. These last 2 or 3 weeks since we knew we were going to CPL, we have played every day, with few exceptions. Which teams, if any, do you hope you don't have to play against in the tournament? We want to play with everyone, our first objective is to learn and gain game experience. How would you rate the other teams competing in the tournament? There are all very very good teams. We didn't think all these good teams were attending this CPL World Tour at Rio. So we are very happy. Okay, thanks for your time demolaishoN, and good luck to both you and aRmy in the tournament - any shout outs? Thanks to GotFrag for the interview and all our Latin fellas.
