We walked back into the waiting room and received consolation from GamerCo and Stu (Brooks). As they can tell you, the looks on our faces told the whole story. We sat down and began to watch the next and last match of the day (Begrip vs. NoA), but obviously, not one of us was focusing on the match being broadcast right in front of us. We all sat there for a few minutes gazing into space and exhaling deeply. After about ten minutes, it was time to pick ourselves back up. There is a large outdoor patio area on the fourth floor of the KMTV Studios, so we all walked out and sat together to think over the situation. Now, as some of you may know, we're a very tight knit group. There was no arguing, no criticism - not even a hint of hard feelings. We were all simply dealing with the pain together. After several minutes of silence, I spoke up: "We'll just have to beat Four Kings, and hope the tiebreakers go our way." Everyone exhaled, and nodded. After that, it wasn't very long before the jokes started to fly, and we were back to our normal selves. Moving on to happier subjects, later that night, we all went out to Korean BBQ with Jonny, Mark, Derek, and Ruben from GamerCo, Mikey So from NoA, and some WC3 players. Now, if you've never had Korean BBQ, you've got to start now - the food was simply delicious, and there was plenty of it. The only problem was that, well, we were under the impression that each slab of meat was only 10,000 Won (About 10 US dollars). Well, when the check came, we were all pleasantly surprised to learn that each slab was in fact 20,000 Won. Our total bill: 360,000 Won. That's one expensive bill for a bunch of poor pro gamers. There are a lot of other fun things to do here in Seoul. Yesterday, we (EG) went to the COEX mall, to find crowds upon crowds upon crowds of Korean girls. Mikey So claims that the male to female ratio in Korea is 1:5. After the COEX, I'm beginning to think he's telling the truth. There's a poker game down in the hotel bar almost every night here at the WEG, and I'm happy to say that in our attempts, EG has so far been very successful. Two nights ago, I took second place (30,000 Won) to Mr. MOG (Master of the Game, as they call him here) himself, Jorgen "XeqtR" Johanessen. And last night, Scottie (EG.Scott) won both games, taking home a total of 110,000 Won, beating out me, Matt (EG.Stevenson), Pasha, Miguel (Quick), Derek (Exodus), Griffin (shaGuar), Ruben (DarK), and Jorgen. One piece of advice: do NOT order pepperoni pizza from a Korean Pizza Hut. Every ingredient they use tastes great, except for the pepperoni, which tastes like long-dead, uncooked fish. Order a supreme pizza without pepperoni, and you're good to go (that's if you have to have pizza - if you have a choice, go to a cheap BBQ restaurant). Overall, we're having a great time here, and we're really looking forward to our match against Four Kings this Sunday. Thanks so much to ABIT, Steelpad, and Icemat for continuing to support us - check out www.myeg.ca for more EG journals and pictures, and be sure to check back here at Gotfrag.com for my next update!
