Turmoil and Cyberglobe Turmoil ![]() Starting lineup John "Superbug" Private ediz "goodfornothing" Basol Brennan "Bdub" Gerjarusak Steven "Seijim2" McCormick Jeff "Jaded" SteinmetzRecent Accomplishments 6th Summer CPL 2005 Team Info Turmoil is a southern California team that has been in existence for over two years now. They've worked their way all the way up from CAL-o with several changes along the way. Jaded and goodfornothing were on the CAL-m team with the rest being added as the team moved higher up. IceCream's Analysis What a great showing by Turmoil at CPL. I was surprised by that, but very happy for the team. I thought they were struggling a bit after losing cryptic to idemise, but it looks like I was wrong. They proved they have what it takes online and on LAN. There haven't been any roster changes since last season or the CPL, so expect another strong start this season just like the 7-1 they put up to start last season. I've lost track of Turmoil a little since midway through last season. At that point they showed great skill with all guns, just like every other west cost team out there. I even had the displeasure of suffering something like a 29-2 from superbug on train in a scrim. At that point I knew nothing about these guys and didn't know if they were just online all-stars or that good. I think the CPL finish cleared that up. I'll be sure to follow them more closely this season to provide a more detailed analysis in the future. Cyberglobe ![]() Starting lineup Mike "Lazreth" Maria Charlie "PublicEnemy" Hartsook Jimmy "jfogle" Koller Joe Perez Justing Brechler Ben HuiRecent Accomplishments CAL-I season 14 playoffs CEVO-P season 1 playoffs 3rd Newegg Lanfest Team Info Cyberglobe is a California team who worked up from CAL-O through CAL-P without losing a match. They were a mid season move up in season 13, and have been successful to this day. Recently they have also started participating in local LANs. Recent Changes Ben Hui has returned to active status. IceCream's Analysis No major changes this season for Cyberglobe, which is a good thing. They have a full season of CAL-I under their belt, where they finally got to compete against teams of similar ability. Last season they improved dramatically as the season progressed becoming the hottest team in invite to end the season. The team has started up in the LAN scene as well with a 3rd place at NewEgg, behind coL and WEW. These guys have the skill and if they keep progressing like last season, then they should be strong. Cyberglobe's play style is headed up by their strength of rifle play. Both the AK and colts on this team is top notch. As a team they tend to overpower areas of the map with multiple rifles attacking or defending an area. The defending team may take out one of them, but they will usually get through and take the area they attack. The coverage and organization after the initial attack was more of a weakness for this team and it has been dramatically improved. Pistol rounds as well as 4th rounds will be key for Cyberglobe this season. If they can master that, then their opponent will be short on money and low on confidence. Theres no worse feeling in CS than being run over by 2-3 confident rushing players every time you try to cover your area. If teams can't win pistol and fourth rounds against Cyberglobe, then they better get used to that feeling because they'll have a painful match in front of them. |
