However Juan, n0it, paradox, mustang, moe, clown, warmachine, brawwr and devour are all doing fantastic (hope I didn't miss anyone). And every single CS player in CGS right now IS a Source player. Face it.
What I mean is.. it helped them, thats great. It obviously did not hurt them coming from 1.6.
But right now everyone is at the same spot. The players that were originally from Source are competing with those players with great 1.6 backgrounds. At this point in time it doesn't matter where they came from, it matters where they are all currently. A strong 1.6 background helped those that switched over. Same goes for the Source players.. they had several years more experience in Source which has helped them. However last year there was a merger between the two.
I said that because I truly think 1.6 was/is a fantastic game, and I have a lot of respect for those players that were able to succeed in the game and I do not discredit them one bit.
However, after over a year of all of these players playing source.. it really doesn't matter where they came from anymore because they all reached this level of CGS together.

Just trying to say, they are all in CGS together now.. Source, 1.6 players, CoD players (warmach1ne), NS players (mustang) and i'm sure a few others :p
I don't hate 1.6. btw. Still play it to this day and enjoy it. However, the community and their narrowminded players ruin the game and "e-sports" in general.
