i have 512 adsl ... 25000//100//100 rates give me lag spikes, and when i use vent i get a constant 400 ping, im currently trying to find the best rates, ive heard i should use 15000//60//60, can anyone recommend some rates? would be good thanks.
read my post in #20, also, your dsl is unable to support that high of bandwith it appears, easiest way to fix is to lower your cl_cmdrate, Sometimes its as simple as lowering it by 1, or hard as 50... so fiqure it out. Also, try to keep your rates above 40, worse case... don't use vent.
Anything to suggest for only lagging hard on de maps? It's not really lag its the fps...i did fps_max 101 but it no help :( and i'm also getting like 120 in but 300+ out...on net_graph 3 it says..:(
Your rates should be 25k 100 100 unless you get choke, in which case lower your updaterate until the choke ceases. If you are lagging it is not to do with your rate but your internet connection, most ISPs these days have more than enough bandwidth for CS:S and should handle a rate of 25000 fine.
