all you kids can talk crap about source but the fact of the matter is. EVERY SINGLE SOURCE PLAYER HAS PLAYED CS from beta or so... some people just choosed to switch sooner,, i know me personally have played cs from beta as well as source from beta..

apparently neither of you realize that the only reason source has any popularity at all is because 1.6 came before it. the game didnt "start out fresh" like REAL cs did, it started with a "premade" fanbase of 1.6 rejects and pubbers. if source had come out when it did and 1.6 had never existed then NO ONE would be playing your shi[b][/b]tty game, and never would you come close to seeing 20k or more spectators in one hltv, because there wouldnt even be a competitive scene. We all know that if source had been a good game then it wouldnt NEED "time to grow", it would have the entire cs scene from the beginning. Fact is you will never see that 20k specs anyway, because no one plays or cares about source.
its sad the source community blatantly disrespects everything 1.6(and earlier versions) has accomplished all the while leeching off of its success.

Ive seen more ppl in CS 1.6 Hltvs than people playing cs:source at any given time ... enough said bad game .. cgs biggest con is there FPS title can't blame them though i rather watch Quake 4 or Battlefield 2

#41 Go outside on the street, and ask ANYONE, would they want to spend their time watch TV to just see guys playing games and getting excited over them. Naturally, the answer would be no. Besides, the MLG has already tried broadcasting Halo2 on TV and failed miserably. Even I didnt find it interesting. The only real fanbase right now is gamers.
#43 All I really said is I get to watch my game on my tv while you have to watch yours on your monitor. I don't really care how many others are watching tbh and it really shouldn't matter to others either. All that should matter is that I enjoy the game and I like to watch pros play it.

once kids learn that its not about 1.6 vs source, then they can start evaluating what aspects of CS they like, its fun to watch Good Counter Strike in general, ive watched top 1.6 matches and source matches for the last two years and i can honestly say CGS has been the most action packed, i hope they continue SRtv but it looks bad for this next week so well just have to see.

Warmach1ne played COD before CSS and im fairly sure that a lot of other Source "pros" started with 1.6 or Source.
