i just got 20" LCD and b4 i was using 17" CRT. when u get used to it LCD is allot nicer to play on i think, but CRT kinda runs more "smooth"

not again, just buy a samsung/viewsonic LCD. you dont see the diffrence anymore

LCD's will never be as good for gaming as crt's until they can produce a 100hz image, which can match the smoothness of a crt.

i dont want another one of those "REFRESHRATES DONT MATTER ON LCDS ITS RESPONSE TIME"

obviously it does matter cause if you put a 2ms lcd next to any 15 year old monitor putting out 100hz, chances are if you dont have profound down syndrome the crt will look smoother.

LCD up to 75HZ
HZ is FPS until someone proves me otherwise
every lan i go to i compare the two and the difference is immense
CRT > LCD in most cases unless
worst possible CRT vs. best possible LCD
a $200+ CRT is better than any 1000+ LCD for gaming right now though, sadly enough.

you can test it yourself..... change ur LCD from 75 hz to 60 hz and its immediately worse.......

true.

I like my LCD, I don't really notice a difference anymore. I guess if you are an fps junky it might matter. But LCD's are really nice and save space. They seem to display a lot better of a picture than CRT monitors and they last longer. But CRT's may have them on refresh rates for now, but I'm pretty sure that this will be overcome one day.
