#2 I don't watch CGS on TV because I don't have direct TV, but it will be on G4 next season. So I probably won't watch it next season either because I can watch it anytime online.
I doubt coL would switch back. If they really hated source enough they wouldn't have switched in the first place. It would all depend on how much money they could make.
The way I see it, it's too much of a risk to go and play 1.6. You have to stay consistent and win every event to make a lot of money. In CGS you get a guaranteed $24,000 or something. Then you can play other tournaments to win extra cash + win world finals if you're franchise is good.
I think they will stay with CGS simply because of lifestyle and money they can make.
They say they are not going to take 1.6 that seriously. They are just playing it for fun. So, I don't know how good they will do. I'm excited to see if fRoD still has an amazing AWP.
I can't watch the CGS because it takes for ever to get it going. It is like on a premium channel on comcast and I am pretty sure you got to pay extra to watch it...
#9 sure money is money, but even if you stick to 1.6 you can make some... the point is that if you are part of the CGS that $$$ you earn is for sure going to be there down the road unlike 1.6 as to where you have to be sure you win every tournament for it to be worth something... and as #8 said the lifestyle you get from CGS with the grand finals, there is major $$ to be earned there. coL wont make it this year because of horrible choices during the draft but anyways...
CGS' salaries have dropped drastically from Season 1 to Season 2, if that trend continues tons of the CS players are going to jump ship very fast. Even Garrett from OPTX stated that exact same thing. when you're getting below 20k territory the GOOD 1.6 players can get sponsored and make more than that and while playing 1.6 which is actually fun for them. You know they don't enjoy source and its all about that paycheck , so if that paycheck gets too small they won't want it anymore.

20k for 2 months of living in LA , in an apartment complex near the beach, with your friends + $30 a day for food. wow that seems like a terrible job, thank god i don't have it.
so if you don't feel like doing the math, thats equivalent to $10,000 a month, or $120,000 a year (if paid every month). this can't be there ONLY method of income, but for two months, thats a nice chunk of change.
guns don't kill people, minorities with guns kill people
I dunno what the big deal is, i have no problem working a normal job getting a normal wage a month and then score 20k for 2 months of play in the cgs. Maybe I just don't see it :/
The CGS is their "job" so for a team like coL who's franchise is terrible they will only be making 20k or however much it is for the year. For the cs team 1.6 would start looking tempting, with team salaries and tournament winnings they can be making more than that. Don't forget these top teams also had player salaries in 1.6.
CSS is a fad, it's semi-interesting to watch on CGS and will continue to be so until CGS ends (which, in my guestimations, ballparking, estimates is within 2 years). So... enjoy it while you cal CSSers b/c 1.6 is still the most interesting game to PLAY competitively. You may want to WATCH CSS, but the PROS get BORED with it, so GOOD LUCK!
complexity 1.6?

#10 No team is not going to take a game seriously if they are traveling to lan events.
/end sarcasm.
not
