Don't get me wrong -- I love CS:S and what the CGS is trying to do. What I don't really get, was why they didn't simply choose one game instead of trying to blanket the possible viewing audience? Also, what was the point of going straight to TV? I look at the success of the MLG in contrast to the CGS and it's really disheartening to me. Most competitive gamers don't want to sit down and watch all these a full-length show with a bunch of games I could care less about. The CGS came in tossing around all this money and didn't use a tried-and-true model.
Anyways, thought I'd just post my frustrations here and see if others feel the same.
I agree, cgs is ruining esport, just look what happend to Fnatic.css .. How can you be a fan of a team that will get splitt and the socalled managers pick people for the team. PICKING PLAYERS BASED ON STATS. Supporting teams becomes superficial. No matter if you can frag, a team needs chemistry to function and the fear of beeing cut makes you focus more on your own stats then teamplay... Sure it pays well but it doesnt sound like fun playing with that kind of stress bearing over your shoulders... Imo source can keep CGS 1.6 is fine as it is
