who said source is more popular??? it's pretty aparent that way more people still play 1.6, but theres this thing called free will that allows us to spend our free time the way we prefer
css has the worst ratings in the cgs. Also, why is it every sauce kid defends his game with these 2 arguements. Sauce looks better, and pistols don't shoot thru 15 feet of wall. Well Pistols dont shoot thru walls period minus the deag, you clearly never even played 1.6. Might I add no weapon shoots thru 15 feet of wall in cs.
Lol #19 ive never heard anyone good say they play source because it looks better, or pistols threw walls cuz if they were ne good they have played 1.6 and no that it doesnt so go think again of a comeback and try again cuz you fail
The fact that you think 1.6 is the 'future of eSports'. Got some bad news for you: Counter-Strike in any form isn't the future of anything.
And on that note, you should consider post #7. Those of us who have been around since at least CS 1.3 and Counter-Strike's true hey-day know that CS 1.6's HLTV numbers at major events are WAY down from what they used to be a few years ago.
And in a couple of years, CGS will likely pick up a new shooter to replace CS:S, and then Counter-Strike won't even have any representation on the new frontier of television broadcast either.
So ultimately, for you to rage like this at a newer version of the same game is sad, ironic, and utterly pointless. No matter which section of the ship you're on, the whole damn thing is still sinking.
And believe me friend, it is the same ship, no matter what denials you've been telling yourself.
I doubt the community as a whole would be able to accept CS2 as game (if they were to even develop that) when we're split enough as it is on the debate of 1.6 or Source.

Stop talking about CS2... Those 1.6 guys won't switch for CS2 or CS3 or even CS4... They are just to afraid to start learning another game again, learning the maps, the new tatics, new aim style, new recoil control... When source came out, they tryed it, failed, and now they blame it. They will do that with CS2, CS3, etc... They are just bad as that, they can't win the evolution of the game...
Think about the other games... Quake... All the Q2 guys went for Q3, and now Q4. Same happened on warcraft... Fatal1ty was huge on all of those games. That is a true gamer.

There is nothing wrong with source. It is a great game. And for those idiots thinking source is easy, they should try to fight Venom on it. It would be really really funny to see that.
OMG, i am a 1.6 guy and I am sooo afraid of the new game... It took me some years playing 1.6 before I learned something about it. I don't want to spent another 2 or more years learning the new game, because I am bad and my learning curve is just like that.
I wouldnt even worry about the people that make this argument, only the best can consistently play at the top regardless of the game. You guys all talk about how half the cgs players dont like css, why would you care there obviously sellouts. Second off tiger that is a bad analogy my friend, if more people play 1.6 then css it makes sense that more people would be watching hltv whereas there are significantly less css players it would make sense for css to get less views. So for that analogy to be correct you really need to flip it around, and thats your opinion I love mcyD fries. As for the graphics argument, css does have better graphics then 1.6 its not a secret but there are plenty of games out now that have amazing graphics but it is all about the rig you game on, but also gameplay. And as far as the gameplay argument goes, almost all of the 1.6 players try to argue that css stole the gameplay style and failed but turn around and say css is like a team deathmatch sounds like a contradiction to me.
