Just wondering what settings would be best for a X-Fi Xtreme Audio sound card. This isn't the Xtremegamer version so there is no game mode and some settings that most people are familiar with. If anyone has this can they tell me what settings would be best for Source? I can't seem to get the sound just right.

Thanks

Exactly what is the problem? I have the platinum sound card and a couple of good stereo headphones (Sennheiser hd595). I use the "speakers" setting rather than "headphones" - it's great for positioning and seems to bring out more detail (less bass). However, it comes down to your headphones as well. When it comes to sound in general, it's not uncommon for people to fork out a lot on more or less high end products and still end up with crappy sound due to a mismatch.
