The reason the round times are like that is so that CSS can fit into it's alloted time in CGS. Not that people are stupid and can't understand what's going on. It's not hard to catch onto people shooting other people on a map where bomb planting is a goal.
Yeah, but still.. the wanna-be flamer has a point it does take a alot of the strategy out of things (round time wise) The amount of rounds doesnt bother me as much as the very short time your given to run a strat.
source would be a decent / more acceptable competative game if it had pistol rounds, the basic 1.6 cal / cevo rules (obv cal rules for cal and cevo for cevo) other than that i just enjoy playing source as a game to play with buddies of mine, or at my friends LAN center where everyone there plays source and if you are caught playing 1.6 you are pretty much lynched..lol

Do you think baseball is spectator friendly? 4-5 hours a match, you can have lots of innings without one single run...some games are slow and boring. Even the highlights are boring. Do you think someone that does not play the game think it's a big deal to see a strike out, like to cheer or something? No, baseball is not spectator friendly...It's made for the one's that enjoy, know and play it.
Football is a little bit better in this aspect, basketball is the best.

#26 the 1.6 community is actually larger than the source community and is going no where soon. Especially since cgs picked up 1.6 for the pro-am division and coL decided to give 1.6 another shot. CGS might try to push the mr12 into 1.6 but im still not sure how the community would act with it. At first I thought I would hate mr12 because I loved the strategic buying in pistol rounds and saw it as a major part of the game and part of me still wants to see pistol rounds in the beggining of a match even though I like the idea of not having to save in pugs/scrims anymore.

if I wanted to play rifles every round, I would have played cod4.
there are so many arguments for mr15, I dont see why leagues dont take notice.
