i have a copperhead for a long time, when it died tried to switch to both DA and lacheisis (sp) and through both the hassle of installing on vista64 and finally trying out the 518 i say go with the mx518...i dont like the raised feel and ergonomics as much but the ease of use is well worth it

Im getting a 518 this week myself. I had a diamondback for a while and Im sick of it.

Buy a 518.

i have a 518 and a 3.0 and i prefer 3.0. the 3.0 is much more resistant that the mx518 and i prefer the tracking of the 3.0 and the shape. But the scroll wheel of the mx518 is just perfect

but honestly dude, its all preference.
