With all the recent matches from ESEA Playoffs, CEVO PT and the upcoming ESEA Invite LAN Playoffs coming up I was wondering what everyone thought about North American Source as a whole. Hopefully everyone can reply with logical rankings with explanations and since I’m not as hated as mbp or caseyfoster I feel this thread may succeed! :D
Top 10 Teams in North America:
1. x3o – azk adren legend pex sunman. The obvious favorite, having an awesome esea invite season and having the same starting 5 for the entire season this team looks fully capable of being the best team in NA. The addition of adren and sunman (although he has not performed to what he should be) have really helped this team make the jump from being a top contender, to the team to beat.
2.Aydeog – clown mustang devour warmachine and Rambo. Not one name people haven’t heard of before and they all have played at the pro level for years. Although some people may believe they’re losing their edge, they’re still number 2 in my eyes because of the sheer talent and knowledge of the game. Look for this team to be very explosive during the esea lan playoffs.

Netcode (Immortal 7) – dazed frozt polar caseyfoster (freakazoid). people give this team alot of trash since they picked up freakazoid but hes a really good player and if you have dazed and frozt on your team coupled with two strong rifles in polar and caseyfoster this team’s play style can really overwhelm teams. Out of all the teams netcode has the most obscure play style and it really benefits them. Look for this team to really make an impact if they can get a solid 5th. It looks like freakazoid will be joining L2P so nci has that issue to deal with but this team is still very strong and one of the most dynamic teams in NA.
4.Zomblerz – griff ridic sauce misty classified. This team has some serious skill however I don’t believe this team is untouchable as many people make them out to be. Sure they have one of the best stationary awpers in the game with ridic, and two tremendous riflers in sauce and misty. But this team’s lack of dedication is going to cost them in the future. However, for right now this team is very strong, but if they remain complacent look for an up and coming team to de-throne zomblerz in the 4th spot.
5.Cyberrevolution – brian steel neil zart ryaan. Previously known as Canadian revolution this team has really stirred things up within the lower divisions and after a huge 2-0 series win vs. c2 last night they are now in cevo p under the cyberrevolution name and awaiting esea open finals. Look for this team (among others) to bring in the new generation of pro source players, after picking up ryaan and now brian, the team has really stepped up their level of play and is showing why they should be considered a top team in the near future as long as they stay dedicated.
6.Crucial connexion – utp torr mbp pokpok aks. This team has gone undefeated in esea intermediate and although people may talk trash and say its only intermediate, this team has really differentiated themselves from the other non-pro teams. After losing in round 3 of the cevo pt to now cyberrev, look for this team to make cevo p easily but still maintain their intensity. They have a tremendous amount of fragging ability on the team and really just have to stick with what they’re doing and they’ll beat some pretty good teams.
7.Pandemic – paradox ksharp volcano funshine sapphire. What a talented team, hopefully they actually practice and beat the teams they should be. I ranked them so low because of the recent failure of CTU Orgrimmar and the loss to a cevo pt team ZOLTAN. Hopefully pandemic realizes how beneficial to source it would be if they took this game seriously and played up to the ability they’re capable of. Source needs more good teams and pandemic has the potential to do just that.
8.Dynamic (DUBE GAMING) – dube miller eric sasquatch cheekz?. Im not sure if that’s the starting 5 but the core of dube miller and eric features some of the top unappreciated players in northamerica and if they get a 4th and a 5th who are capable of playing comparable to their level of skill this team could be really good. Dube’s teams normally aren’t known for their practicing and dedication but rather their sheer skill. Look for this team to rack up a lot of wins if they start getting into a rhythm and scrimming a bit as a team.
9.Secondnature – Kevin koth vas truk Norton. Sure you guys are going to talk trash about this pick but secondnature has been a team that has been together for quite some time now and they are good as a team but they just never made it to that next level. They will play c2 most likely in round 5 of the cevo pt so its going to be a hard match. But if any team in the cevo pt deserve to be in cevo p it should be second nature. They haven’t been playing as well but this team put up a better fight against cyberrev in the pt than c2 did.
10.L2p – freakazoid scott spyder monster dave/forever0 ?. not really sure who the s5 is but this team with freakazoid again looks like they could gay some teams pretty well. Forever0 recently on cyber/can rev is now on l2p and maybe he can add to l2p’s strengths. This team is another up and coming team along with cyberrev, c2 and secondnature and I hope teams like these can really make an impact whether its in esea I or cevo p.

#3 shouldn't be anywhere near that ranking. One of the most random teams ever to play the game with terrible players. The fact you put SN and L2p in the rankings is lol worthy.
#2 dynamic isnt even a team anymore they could barely make it out of cevo atomic theory 2. c2 and cyberrev both placed higher than them. i left them up there tho because dube miller and eric are a solid 3. but i doubt they can get 5 playing together. and as for pandemic. what have they done? they lost to l2p and placed #32 in esea open. they have the players, but saying they are a top team without them doing anything yet is just plain silly. and whats with the attack on nci? i gaurantee if you played vs. them you'd get laid out.

netcode will probably beat ayedog to be honest, they play a lot and they have a very unorthodox playstyle that could catch ayedog off guard. i don't know why everyone says a team is bad just because they hate the people on it. it makes you look like a complete idiot.
if pandemic actually practiced they could probably be good, but i guess you could say that for a lot of teams too.
Who cares? It's a video game, and most of the "pros" are 20+ geeks who still act like they're 14. The best players are the ones who actually have some class. The best teams are the ones who have some class, because after all, it's a damnvideo game. Second best are the ones who don't practice, and still beat the "big name" teams some of the time. Last are the ego maniacs who think that they are better than some other geek on a forum because they can shoot at a few pixels for 12 hours a day.

I played "competitive play", and I was horrible. I played for fun, though. What you think of me, or the thousands of other people who play the game and aren't quite as committed as you, is irrelevant to anything that matters on this planet.
Good rankings. i enjoyed it. however if ayedog tries, they would dominate x30. but then comes pandemic. bottom line is if both teams start trying again, ayedog/pandemic will be the new hyper/verge.
#5 we played 4v5 in our (pandemic) match vs. l2p; for the second map, we had a pandemic staff member join the roster to add an extra body and still made it to overtime. but without paradox, we were in trouble. he finally joined in the second half OT ;p maybe we could have won if he had been there, maybe we would have still lost. hard to say

Finished up 5th in ESEA, and Atomic tourney we pugged with whoever was on the paid roster. Newegg WANfest is our 1st real showing as our new team and we've already secured atleast 3rd place, by knocking DaZeD and crew (who I hate with all my heart except polar, but cannot be overlooked as one of the best teams in NA) to the lower bracket.
#16 i think esea lan playoff are gona be a good way to see the curent best team, no one is gona travel to dalas, and not try all 4 teams are gona try and play as good as they can, should be a blast imo
10th ranked L2P made CEVO-P last night after a win over Legacy! in the CEVO-PT. I like these rankings. You definitely put some effort into them instead of just spouting out your favorite CSS teams in order.
#24 why are you being an as/shole to sapphire? i can bet she doesn't play nearly as hard as most css players, yet she is better than a lot.

I like most of i7. Frozt was pretty cool when I talked to him. Same with dazed. Never really talked to casey, but he has never said anything mean to me. He catches a lot of crap for being rich? Also, not being good at this game? I am not saying he is bad or good, i haven't really seen him play. Although I can appreciate dube and the giraffes trolling, i have nothing against him.
griff is actually really cool. He has the brain of a champ. All around I have always liked the zomblerz. They were always one of my favorite teams. pre-cgs and post-cgs.

a long time ago i used to think the mexican giraffes were d1cks. they grew on me. I like dynamic. they are solid. I don't think they practice, which shows some skill of competing at the highest level in NA without practice. If they do, then they deserve the spot even more.
it would be nice to see a new returning roster of x6/hyper/devastation/guardians/xfx/fever/gg.
its going to be interesting to see how esea invite pans out next season if secondnature loses to zebgamers in esea im and if esea invite is expanded to 10 teams. a couple of teams are going to be dropped from this past season of esea i so a lot of teams are going to have to fill in the spots. if esea i lan playoffs go well, esea is definitely going to want to make it 6 teams in esea i playoffs next season similar to 1.6, but that may take another season or two to get enough good teams in esea i that it would even be worth it. hopefully esea makes the right decision with the teams, making sure to only expand esea i if the teams they're bringing up are capable of getting wins. if not, then it should just stay at 8 teams until more teams start popping up.
