(Colorado) - Everlan has announced the list of teams confirmed so far for the $21,000 Everlan NIT Counter Strike Source Tournament taking place January 20-22nd 2006 in Denver Colorado. GotFrag.com will be attending and providing full coverage of the Everlan Winter 05 event with previews, reviews, interviews, live scoreboards, srctv, scorebots, statistics, demos, galleries and more.

This announcement also serves as a reminder to those teams invited that have not confirmed, to do so immediately as teams from the waiting list will be moved up in place of non-confirmed teams. Everlan�s Brandon "Baker" Keever tells GotFrag that the prize money is not affected by the number of teams in this tournament and the tournament is not �about money� but that the goal is to have a full 32 team tournament with the best teams in attendance. Baker asked that all teams invited but not confirmed, confirm and pay as soon as possible to ensure the quality of the tournament and to give the teams in waiting that have the ability to attend, the chance to do so.

We definitely will #11, Singlecoil and I are going to be on-site from GotFrag and we'll also be having a photographer. If you have any suggestions as to what will make our coverage better, feel free to let us know.

Gotfrag (namely SingleCoil) provided incredible coverage for the w2z tournament so I look forward to similar coverage for everlan :). I was hoping that we could get some shoutcasting at this event either by TSN or radio-ITG. This is the biggest source tournament since summer CPL and definatly rivals the capacity and prestige of the CPL source tourny.

In response to #43,

Running this tournament is much like selling tickets for an airline. My particular airplane has 32 seats, and well over 60 people who want those seats. My job is to sell enough seats to ensure that at liftoff, I have 32 people on the plane...its hard.

If I invited everyone who signed up, I would have nearly enough teams, even with attrition, to fill a 64 team bracket; unfortunately, with my time schedule I am unable to handle more than 32 teams effectively.

So I have gone through the list of teams, and with big help from Gotfrag I have narrowed down the top 40 or so and have slowly issued invites as to get 30-32 teams, insted of 33+ teams to show up. As you can see by the list, the 'confirmed' number stands at 23, with the 'payment extended' number at 5, "afk" teams at 5, and waiting list teams at 6.

So, assuming the teams who are having issues coming up with the attendance fee for whatever reason pay, we're up to 28, and the waiting list teams will fill the rest of the 32 out.

I'd like to thank everyone for flying EverLAN, we hope you enjoy your tournament.
