With just three days before the competition begins GotFrag's pre-event coverage of EverLAN Winter continues with a preview of the top five seeded teams as well as other teams to watch out for.

Twenty-one thousand dollars. Twenty seven of the best Source teams in North America. One event, one tournament. Starting this Friday from January 20th to the 22nd, the EverLAN organization will be hosting an event in Denver featuring an Counter-Strike: Source invitational tournament. This event has brought out the best and most dedicated Source teams to battle it out and determine who is the champion of them all.

GotFrag continues its pre-event coverage with a preview of the tournament, but before getting into the top seeded teams as well as other notables, here is a breakdown of the tournament:

Location: Denver, CO
Dates: January 21-22
Prize Purse: $21,000
Number of Teams: 27
Format: Double-Elimination Bracket
Schedule:
- Day 1: Upper Bracket Rounds 1-3; Lower Bracket Rounds 1-2
- Day 2: Upper Bracket Rounds 4-5; Lower Bracket Rounds 3-8; Consolation Final, Grand Final
Maplist: Dust2, Inferno, Train, Nuke, Contra

The maps CPL Mill and CPL Strike are property of the CPL organization. EverLAN chose not to file a request for permission to use either of the maps and therefore are not a part of the rotation. Cbble was removed due to the imbalance of gameplay in matches.

Being hailed as the most competitive Source tournament in the history of the game, this is one event that cannot be missed. GotFrag will be on-site (see story) to provide up-to-the-minute coverage that no one else can bring including scorebots, SourceTV, demos, scoreboards, previews, recaps, interviews, and more. Now let's take a look at some of the teams that will be in attendance.
