The Top 5

#1 United States PowersGaming
Roster: clowN, Warmach1ne, p0s, cLaRK, mOE

For being one of the most well known, if not the most, Source teams in the world, it is no surprise PowersGaming takes the number one seed above all other teams.
Although the roster has changed since their CPL Summer victory, the core of the team remains intact for EverLAN with clowN, p0s, and Warmach1ne at the frontlines. Known for consistent practicing and dedication, PG has been performing well as of late with an impressive record in CEVO Pro. Not long after CPL in July, the same core of three would go on to place second at the LanFest 2k5 event. October soon rolled in and PG had a new look after acquiring a few ex-WEW/Upper players. The team would then place second to verGe with clowN and mOE on that roster. A month later brought the CAL Invite championship and the trio of clowN, Warmach1ne and mOE took down Forbidden in two matches with relative ease.

With the addition of Clark formerly of Check-Six, PowersGaming's deep roster has a myriad of experience between them. The team is certainly familiar with big and important matches, and their experience will carry into EverLAN. The community should be expecting the best from the best, and being ranked the number one team in North American as well as having the top seed doesn't hurt either. Expect this team to be hungry for nothing but first place, especially with verGe also gunning for the top prize.

#2 United States Team 3D
Roster: Method, Rambo, Shaguar, Volcano, Dominator

Known worldwide and idolized by many, Team 3D will definitely be drawing a lot of attention their way throughout the tournament. Members of the 1.6 and Source community alike should be paying special attention to 3D's performance for a couple reasons. First of all, its Team 3D. With a history so deep and accomplishments that take more than two hands to count, 3D draws fans wherever they go. Secondly, although 3D did win the WCG finals in Singapore, the community does not have much of an indication as to how good 3D is at Source in comparison to the top North American teams. The 3D versus PG exhibition did show 3D can definitely play, but the fact that PG was going through roster trouble at the time negates some of the significance of that win. Predictions have been all over the place with some calling a 3D victory at EverLAN while others believe 3D will not break the top five.

The amount of preparation and seriousness 3D is putting into this event will play a huge role in the team's performance. Obviously after winning WCG, 3D had to quickly readjust back to 1.6 as they prepared for CPL Winter. Now 3D has to turn back around to Source, and having not played Source for a month inbetween WCG and the CPL does not help their cause. In addition, Griffin "Shaguar" Benger will be taking the place of where Kyle "Ksharp" Miller was for WCG. Both players are known for their strong awps which somewhat helps the preparation, but the two are different players which leads to adjustments.

In the end, the presence of 3D at EverLAN just makes the event all the more better and the community can expect exciting matches to come out of 3D.
