Who to Keep an Eye On

#7 United States CB7
Roster: Wukev, Jibby, Mantik, n0pulze, remix

This team has made a lot of noise since its formation not long before CEVO Source was announced.
Led by Wukev, formerly of the PG CPL Championship team, this team has made very strong impressions in the community. With only CEVO as official experience together as a team, CB7's impressive wins in CEVO shot them right up the rankings to the second best team in North America, only under PowersGaming who handed CB7 its only loss. A mid-season pickup of remix formerly of EFG only added strength to the team as remix currently leads all players with the most frags in CEVO and the second highest FPR. Because they are a new team prevented them from gaining a higher seed, but look for this time to do some serious damage in the tournament.

#8 United States EF Gaming
Roster: Shaffer, Deppy, Flodog, Cyrus, Dep

Similar to CB7, this team formed, or rather "came back together" after the conclusion of CAL Invite Season 3 and prior to CEVO. EFG is currently undefeated in CEVO under the stong leadership of Shaffer, formerly of Check-Six. Although having a better record than CB7, EF Gaming was not the favored team as the community voted EFG as the fifth best team in North America. However, don't expect that to slow down EFG in their climb to the top and expect them to come out of the gate hard and strong. Riding off an impressive win over verGe last week, EF Gaming is also another team that has the potential to go deep in the tournament.

#15 United States UGP
Roster: BareAss, Cracky, Jmclane, SuMsY, Cobie, KrazY, abK

Consisted of the core of team iLLicit that attended CPL Summer, they are one of the few teams in the lower half of the seeds that have major LAN experience. Team iLLicit had a very tough road at CPL, losing to Upper in the first round, narrowly knocking verGe out of the tournament 16 to 14, only to fall to mTw the following round. The core joins up with UGP who has been in CAL Main the past two seasons, and now they are looking to add another accomplishment to UGP's very long history. Beware teams, the presence of SirScoots goes wherever UGP goes.

#26 United States PowersGaming Ladies
Roster: infusion3, izabel, Pierce, potter, Sapphire

The other Source squad to carry the PowersGaming tag, this all-ladies team will be making its first LAN appearance. Naturally being an all-ladies team will attract attention but these ladies have a very tough road ahead of them in the brackets. Having no league experience before this season of CEVO Amateur, they will have to climb their way through some tough teams to progress in the tournament. However, the team can be seen constantly scrimming and practicing against top teams. If PGL does make some noise and beat some tough teams, it will certainly be a topic of discussion.
