The four day World Cyber Games Samsung European Championships continues with day two Counter Strike Source action.
(Germany) - Day one is complete in the WCG 06 SEC CSS tournament. Russia, Finland and others have made it into the second upper round. Losses by Germany and Norway has sent those teams to the lower brackets. The big news of the tournament may be the fact that German laws do not allow the video broadcast of the mature rated games. There is also a lack of any other live coverage at the moment. Scorebots may be available during day two but Source TV will not be possible. Regardless of the lack of live coverage, the tournament continues and GotFrag will continue to keep you updated with scores and any information we recieve.
Day two continues with Upper Round 2 and Lower Round 1 in the Counter Strike Source tournament. Six other games are being played at the event with live video coverage of some of the other games. More information can be found at http://ec.wcg-europe.com/news and #wcg-europe.com on the Quakenet IRC network.
Day One Melee and Team RostersBracketsUpdate: Scorebots have been set up on Quakenet IRC Network at #sec.live1 through #sec.live6

#4 WHY SHOULD USA PLAY IN A EURO ONLY TOURNAMENT?
Russia < Slovakia
Sweden < Romania
paradox?
CS 1.6 players are playing CS Source... totally different game. So don't be suprised about any results =)
how does russia beat germany and lose to Slovakia:O
and blaming source is just a retarded argument. if you can aim in 1.6 you can aim in source. if anything source is easier than 1.6 as proven by 3d and the fact that the stars of source (people like strunk, pos, etc) were all only decent at 1.6
its different game (even if it looks same)... maybe it's easier game to learn but it doesnt make you pro CS:Source player if u are pro at CS... have you ever seen anybody, who is for example pro @ Quake4 and then play couple of days cs 1.6 and in that time have become extremely good @ cs 1.6... lol fo sho not.
and Team3D have trained much more CS:Source than just couple of days...
umm yes it does thats why 3d and decent cal-m/cal-p kids can dominate source. source is simply easier to PLAY (as valve intended it to be). if pg/x6 had gone to wcg instead of 3d they would have gotten absolutely dominated because the other teams there were simply better. the fact that pg plays css and most the other teams played 1.6 would only make a minor difference as further demonstrated by the fact that the Singapore (or somewhere in asia) css team the titans got knocked out in like the second round.
also comparing the difference between cs and quake is utterly ridiculous
