Counter-Strike Source: Spain vs Poland in WCG 06 SEC Grand Final

The World Cyber Games Samsung European Championships Grand Finals will be decided today. Three days of tough competition has led to the final showdown in the Counter Strike Source tournament.

 (Germany) - The four day World Cyber Games Samsung European Championships come to a close today with the completion of all tournaments including the Counter Strike Source tournament. 18 teams have been narrowed down to two of the best Europe has to offer.

Spain has remained on top of the winners bracket with wins over Norway, Finland, Poland and Romania. Spain is now poised to face Poland again for the Grand Final. The first match between these two was exciting and one of the best in the tournament. Poland must win two maps against Spain to win the championship. Spain, coming from the winners bracket, must win only one map to be the champions.

Update: Spain has won the match and are the World Cyber Games Samsung European Championships Counter Strike Source tournament champions although not without controversy. Poland lodged a complaint upon conclusion of the match and Spain was found to have played the match with altered cfg files. Spain was yellow carded and penalized six rounds for the infraction. The penalty was not enough to lift Poland past the deficit and Spain has been crowned champion.
