The Distinct 5 organization changes its name to Cardboard Robots after merging with Verge Gaming's former Call of Duty 2 team.
The Distinct 5 organization, which is comprised of CS:S and 1.6 teams, has decided to join up with Verge Gaming's former Call of Duty 2 team to create a larger organization called Cardboard Robots. The new mIRC channel is #cbR. Additionally, the CS:S team has released Kyle "Martyr" Defenbach, Ben "wotes" Holzman, and Jon "hauNt" Wilson, and recruited a few players formerly of One Eyed Zomblerz.

The new cbR Source lineup includes:

Eric "brawwr" Neer
Carson "classified^" Holt
Andres "MiSTY" Gunaratne
Justin "heatwave" McKay
Logan "letifer" Burgess
Robert "smp" Bair

Here is a statement from Chris "Fontaine" Davis, manager of the D5 organization:

"When the Verge cod2 team broke away, their manager Chris "kimble" Lloyd came to me and proposed the merge to strengthen all of our teams and mentioned some sponsorship offers. Kimble himself was a member of D5 in the beginning of Season 3 and I was very interested in the idea. At the same time we had been playing with some of the members from Zomblerz and were moving towards roster changes after we won Desert Bash LAN 4.0 in Phoenix, AZ with Justin 'heatwave' McKay on our team. Personally, graduate school has been taking it's toll on my time and I welcomed the idea of sharing management with Chris Lloyd, and since the original members that had built the Distinct 5 name were no longer with us, we decided a fresh new name would be appropriate. Cardboard Robots is a unique name that grew on us over time."
