Counter-Strike Source: CAL Europe Week Two

Elliot "Chimera" Falvert-Martin checks in on week two of CAL Europe CS:Source.

(Europe) - Week two in the new CAL-E CS:Source League has finished, and GotFrag, as always, is here to bring you up to speed as each week progresses. This week we take a look at a controversial match, a couple of notable teams and some quotes from some European players. Many matches have yet to be palyed this week as teams continue to adjust to CAL's schedule.

Unsurprisingly, all of the top sides that played won their games but unfortunately, there has been a dispute regarding one top clan. The player in question is Adversity’s Matt "Crucified" Crayton who was showing signs of foul play according to AuxiliA Jam0r. "We smoked middle every round, he would push middle every round except the 2 rounds when we had an awp watching middle and there was 3 of us there".

Even though AuxiliA still won 16-14, they like the rest of CS Source community have no time for hacking. They have filed a CAL report for this game. We will bring you the results as soon as they are known. Other than that, Week two has seemingly gone smoothly with the majority of games being played on time, and the majority of teams said they were enjoying CAL-E and were happy to finally see a CAL in Europe. Good luck to all clans for Week 3. Week 3 Map, De_Contra.

Team to Watch - Team Fatcap. Not a widely known side, but don't let that fool you. They've beaten sides like Reason Gaming, CSA and Audacious, and with members from Incorrect and Digital-Insanity, these Danes mean business. You've got to keep your game face on or you may lose it all together.

Team to Fear - eSrael. Again--not a "Spotlight" Clan in Europe. This team doesn't let that stop them from taking your head off with their M4, and they’ve not dropped less then 10 rounds in their last two games. Surely that should put doubts in anyone’s mind if they are the next opponent. www.e-srael.org

Quotes
"FeTiSh" from FatCap - "EverFrost played really well, we should have played better"

n!faculty.RAPTOR Nimrod - "EFF-Kult had in the past good 1.6 Teams, but their CSS Division was not as strong as we expected, so we went easily through ;) with Normal tactics, was pretty funny the game."

AuxiliA Jam0r - "Was an interesting game which we should have done better in but a win is a win"

Finally, a quick word with Planet6 member Guvnor about their upcoming game with one of the best sides in Europe CSA:

"CSA are a strong team, in my opinion the best in Europe. We are very unsettled about going into this game. For 1 reason Our team has been busy with exams and we haven't had time to fully practice as a team yet but we will still go in fighting, give them what we got and come out with our heads high no matter what the outcome". Even though they lack practice, Guvnor still pointed out "limpz watch out for my knife".
