Casey continues his CEVO-P predictions, this time along the side of depauL.
| definitioN

vs
Eminence

|
Although Eminence's match versus EFG is still pending, it's pretty safe to say both teams had a tough first match. As predicted, definitioN dropped a close one to Skull. Despite the loss, definitioN remains a team with high hopes and lots of potential, as does Eminence. With an offensive start, definitioN has a slight advantage in what should be a fairly evenly matched bout. However, Eminence is a team with some well-known, skilled players but without the accomplishments you'd expect from a team of their potential. Although this match can go either way, I think Eminence has a strong desire to perform well in CEVO and will pull out the win in the end.
Casey's Prediction: Eminence > definitioN 17-13 |
| EFGaming

vs
verGe
|
Despite the pending status of their first matches, these two teams should be more focused than anything on this match. The number one and number two rated teams respectively, EFG and VerGe have a lot riding on this match. Under pressure, both teams perform to the best of their potential, although it seems that EFG is always able to come out on top in epic matches such as this. Adding in their offensive start, EFG's individual skill be tough for verGe to combat. While there is no other team with the potential to top EFG, I don't see even a great team like verGe doing so.
Casey's Prediction: EFG > VerGe 18-12 |
| Forbidden

vs
Hyper!

|
With two close matches played by these teams, Hyper! came out on top of Exploit 3 with a 17-13 win while Forbidden lost an equally close one to electronic Gaming evolution. Dispite the momentum gained for such a thrilling win, Hyper! will have an even tougher match versus a Forbidden reeling from their close loss and eager to redeem themselves. Factor in an offensive start, and you have a Forbidden that will gain momentum early and not relent.
Casey's Prediction: Forbidden > Hyper! 19-11 |

Skull Gaming

vs
The Edge of Sanity
|
This match has already been played with the result being a win for Skull Gaming.
Result: Skull > TEoS 17-13 |
| Devastation

vs
Exploit 3

|
Devastation's new lineup sitting at a well deserved 3-1 record in CAL-Invite seems to be one of the only teams still keeping their game up to par. Although E3 is not currently in CAL-Invite, I believe with the recent departure of several teams from the league due to CEVO - that they will be moved up very quickly. With a close lose to Hyper! 17-13 it shows E3 is no team to be taken lightly. I really think this match will really depend on who is better prepared. With sasquatch's injury still fresh from the CPL - I bet he still has some rage built up inside that he will unleash tonight in the match, but I don’t think it will be enough.
depauL's Prediction: E3 > Dev 20-10 |
| wat? gaming

vs
electronic Gaming evolution

|
We saw eGe take down veteran team Forbidden in a huge upset earlier this week with a final score of 16-14. Althought eGe looks to be prepared well for the competition this season, it seems wat? is getting back on track and starting to steer back towards CS:S - With these two up and coming teams in the upper tier leagues I believe this will be a match not to be missed, but I believe wat? will end up taking this one over eGe.
depauL's Prediction: wat? > eGe 17-13 |
