Forbidden

vs

verGe

Here we have two of the top ranked teams in the league. While VerGe is probably one of the most hyped (and respected) teams in the league, Forbidden has always been close behind, racking up wins quietly in the background. So far they've dropped only 2 losses, VerGe only one. While Forbidden is the clear underdog (as they usually are), anything can happen. VerGe won't leave anything to chance. They certainly won't underestimate this team. Can lightning strike twice? Sure, but I don't think it will this time around.

VerGe > Forbidden 18-12

definitioN

vs

wat? gaming

Despite the mediocre records of these two teams, they are both highly talented and could challenge virtually any team in the league. DefinitioN upset VerGe earlier in the season, giving them their only loss, while wat? has toppled the likes of EFGaming earlier on Cbble. Certainly both of these teams have the potential to beat anyone; it all comes down to effort. With such a close match up, momentum will play a huge role. Despite an offensive start, look for def. to exercise excellent coordination and aim to grab the first few rounds and keep wat? gaming at bay.

definitioN > wat? 17-13

Hyper!

vs

Devastation

After some roster trouble earlier in the season, Hyper! has emerged as a true powerhouse who has utterly destroyed most of the teams they've played this far. The same unfortunately cannot be said for Devastation, who has struggled to maintain a winning record and has lost some of the luster they had in previous seasons. With a battle-hardened Hyper! in front of them, I don't see their fortunes changing this week.

Hyper! Devastation 21-9
Exploit 3

vs

The Edge of Sanity

These two teams have truly struggled this season, each dropping matches they probably could have won at multiple times this season. Despite their records, they both have managed to keep some close matches with teams you'd expect to blow them out of the water. Maybe that says something about inactivity, maybe not. Here and now either one of these teams could take this match, and thus it will probably be one of the best matches of the week. Preparation will play the biggest role in determining the outcome of this match, and whoever maintains composure and coordination will grab the W. With a defensive start, TEoS will grab the first few rounds and build momentum going into the second half. There they'll battle hard for rounds, but will ultimately come out on top.

TEoS > Exploit 17-13

vs

Eminence

I'm not quite sure how Eminence has managed to lose every match they've played thus far, but if there's one suspected cause, it's the league's ever-present inactivity. eGe seems to have escaped so far with a few wins, but not many. Despite their record, Eminence has potential and definitely has the skill to win this match. Inferno is a notoriously defense-sided map and that may help make up for the lack of activity on their part. Starting on defense, I expect Eminence to gain early momentum and keep eGe to only a handful of rounds in the first half. This will send them coasting into the second half, and despite a lack of coordination, they'll earn the needed rounds and grab their first close win.

Eminence > eGe 16-14
