Once again, a well known, North American CS 1.6 team has decided to join the movement to CS:Source. In light of this past week's announcement by DTV and the CGS, many 1.6 teams are trying thier hand, with hopes to become part of the CGS league. In the following announcement at www.gozex.com, Team zEx has also stated that the team will continue to play CS 1.6 in 2007 as well as venture once again into CS:Source.

Team zEx is pleased to announce our return to Counter-Strike: Source. Less than six months ago Team zEx took the international scene by storm as it announced its European Counter-Strike Source squad. The team had numerous victories at major international tournaments. Our current Counter-Strike squad will be participating in CEVO Counter-Strike: Source Season 3. The team will still be competing in all 1.6 tournaments this year as well. The year 2007 looks to be an exciting time in e-Sports history. Pandemic = plays both 1.6 and source (source = cevo-main for them)
zEx = plays both 1.6 and source, but primarily going towards source and its professional salaries
coL = plays both 1.6 and source (there cal-i/m with verge teamates also on roster)
Team3D = 100% switch over to source (with the out of retired world wonder ksharp)

All alone are bring attention to source and sponsers are looking at graphics and products.
1.6 is playing the defense now (nothing inavative anymore) instead of the offense... now source is offense...

they are gonna have to start paying everyone else that plays 1.6 to switch over to souce cause i think ppl play games because they like them not because col or 3d play them

SOURCE SUCKS....I played it...and switched back 2 1.6......3D and ZEX have no other option but 2 play source...as they 1.6 will be very tough for them in d year 2007.
And abt Source....i find d game very cartoonish...and 1.6 more realastic.

#34 pretty sure both games were made for pub, its just 1.6 fit in better for the competitive scene. That being said 1.6 has had enough time in the competitive scene for people to fall in love and not give other games a chance, If valve get off there arse and fix some major bugs in source it will indeed be the next best thing to 1.6.
