Round 2: Nuke coL vs EFG Statistically Nuke is not a good map for EFG, since the team's inception it is the only standard map that they have gone negative on as a whole. coL similarly seemed slowed a bit on nuke, being as on this map they had one of their few close matches against verGe. Nuke is a map that revolves around good communication and quick rotations, and without practice it will be hard for EFG to keep up with a well prepared team that is as skilled as coL. In coL's match against verGe Storm statistically played very solid, I asked Struk about it to get a feel for what coL might do this time around. He said "i didn't notice storm much in the match although statistically he did well, only thing that was a pain for us was zet pushing ramp." Storm got a lot of kills by playing passively at first then coming in from the side to get kills while the opponents were blind, watch for him to do the same thing this time around. Also, on their T side look for coL to work ramp early and often. Struk also has a working knowledge of how EFG plays considering he has been on a team with some of them and has played them multiple times. When i asked him what he thought the outcome would be he predicted coL to get the win due to the slump that EFG is in. I agree with him, coL is too strong for EFG to beat considering their current condition. Gn0me’s Prediction: coL > EFG 16-10 3D vs Hyper! Team3D dominated nuke in their CEVO match ups, taking out EFG and a solid Flow squad. Hyper! also beat Flow and dominated Forbidden on nuke. According to sasquatch of Flow, Hyper! just "out clutched" them and "badapples went off." Well Hyper! is going to need apples to go off again because 3D is solid on this map, in fact I would venture to say that its their best map. Based on raw aim and skill Hyper! has 3D outclassed, but 3D's smart coordinated play makes it difficult for team's to get kills on them without having them returned. Defensively look for Foerster to post up with an awp while TN, Shredder, and badapples play more aggressively with colts and flashes. Hyper! loves to randomly push spots leading with flashes, so if 3D is caught trying to coordinate a strat for too long they could find that the fight has come to them. Also on rounds where Hyper! doesn't push look for them to play in centralized positions where they can quickly rotate to either bomb site. Their colters are going to be rolling through the vents constantly. Both of these teams have strong defensive setups and the real test will be in the offense. I expect 3D to be more coordinated, but for Hyper! to generate more in the way of picks. I think this will be the most intense match of the tournament and it will likely come down to the last round. Hyper! has too many weapons and any one of their players can clutch out a tough situation. I think Hyper! takes this one in a nail biter.
