Counter-Strike Source: United5 adds eng

Jonny "eng" Faulds has joined the u5 squad.
A little over a week after United 5 declared their intentions to focus on Counter-Strike: Source by dropping the Professional division of CEVO 1.6, they have made a pickup to bolster the roster. Jonny "eng" Faulds joined the team today, giving u5 a six man roster as the season moves ahead. Faulds was last seen as part of Jax Money Crew; in late January it was reported that he was moving to England to pursue a professional soccer career, and Kevin "aZn" Wang was brought in to fill his spot.

United 5 had been one of the few holdout teams who continued to play 1.6 despite the wave of teams switching to Source exclusively. They struggled in both leagues, however, and made the decision to only play Source at the end of last month. It's difficult to gauge the immediate results of that decision, as thus far they've been defeated handily by compLexity and received a forfeit win and a bye since making the switch.

Regarding his plans to play soccer, Faulds stated that such a move is still his goal -- it will just take place later in the year, closer to summer.

"We will just see how it goes. I'll handle it when the time comes and they know the situation," he said in reference to his plans. When asked if his return was due to missing the competition, he said, "Yes that's exactly it."

Faulds' addition is an interesting one, as he made no secret of his general dislike for Source. "I really really don't like Source too much or at all. It's a big change but whatever I'm up for the task."

He did state that he hasn't played the game much before joining u5. The lack of high-level US teams continuing with 1.6 made the switch easier for him, as well. "There's really no one playing 1.6 anymore these days anyways. It seems like everyone is making the switch to source. Just like all games everyone just follows the [money]."

United 5 plans to attend the PNY CSA March Madness Event at CGC in Orange County later this month, and a week later they will be at the Buy.com LAN in Anaheim.

With this move, u5's CEVO roster now stands at:

United States Shaun "hostile" Catron
United States Jonny "eng" Faulds
United States Cyrus "org" Habibi
United States Albert Hahn
United States Ben "theNuT" Hui
United States Jimmy "foogs" Koller
