Complexity Gaming sued Velocity Servers on March 23rd in Erie County, New York. The complaint also states that Velocity has failed to make any payment to Complexity and that Velocity has also failed to provide them with game servers. Complexity has valued the game servers at ten thousand eight hundred dollars, bringing the entire suit total to sixteen thousand eight hundred dollars ($16,800.00). Jason Lake, the owner and manager of Complexity, had the following to say: “In my opinion, this is a black and white case of a breach of contract. While similar organizations have declined to pursue such things in the past, Complexity Gaming has no intention of tolerating such behavior, and we have taken the appropriate actions to defend ourselves.” Velocity Servers, established in 2003, is a Game Server Provider based out of Williamsville, New York that has servers located in New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Jose, and Ashburn, Virginia. Velocity Servers did not give a comment at this time. You can view the entire complaint HERE |

velocity getting suedd
OUCH.
Always two sides to a story, and the truth lies in the middle.
LAAAAAAATTTEEEEE
Hopefully more orgas can start doing this. Its not the process and the monetary issues that ANYONE should be concerned with here, its keeping the industry HONEST, making those shifty characters realize if you stuff someone around u'll get burnt..
didn't get ur point #9
Will be interesting to see the outcome of this.
I don' t think we're talking about renting a few ordinary shared servers like all of us normal cs players do, unless they were entering a contract for many years in advance (which they wouldn't do). To host your own dedicated boxes on solid connections it can be amazingly expensive.
at least we know that this is going for the principle. wootwoot
My only thoughts are of the judge and the lawyers going "You do what now?"
Finally, someone actually taking legal action for breaches in contracts (hoorai v 69n28e and Begrip v face/NiP never really happened or followed up on that). It's a good sign showing how serious and professional gaming and taking contracts have become.
Ignore people like #20, they have no clue or brains to have a somewhat relevant contribution to such topics.
...............
i doubt they're sewing for the money. more for the principle
