Heroic welcomes Sam "Devour" Chamma and Grant "Griff" Hall to the team from verGe. Initially announced with two players on the roster (Jacob "NightFall" Stanton and Yaz "clowN" Ammari), Heroic is a new team under the support of the current managers of EF Gaming. Led by Stanton, Heroic will be aiming to qualify for the upcoming Championship Gaming Series. Today, Heroic took another step towards being ready to compete with the addition of Chamma and Hall. Stanton commented on his new teammates with, "Well we've basically been waiting around for opportunities to come to us, as we felt that most of the options available up to this point weren't exactly what we needed. Luckily with a little time and patience what we needed came to us, with Griff and Devour we'll easily be able to have the team that I've been striving for with Heroic." When asked whether he had a fifth player to complete the roster, Stanton replied that he is currently "still debating". Hall and Chamma leave a verGe team that placed third in the NationVoice Source Championship last weekend. However, verGe played with two players who are no longer with the team. The true verGe lineup at the time had fell just short of qualifying for the CGS National Qualifier with a fourth place finish. The future of the verGe Counter-Strike: Source division is currently unclear, and manager Matt Marcou told GotFrag that he will be making an announcement shortly regarding this. Chamma spoke with GotFrag on his move to Heroic and stated, "For myself, I wasn't fully confident in the roster and team [verGe] as whole. There's a big problem when you don't trust your teammates to step up when they have to and have a big game. So when Jake came to me about his idea about how he wants to mold his team, it appealed to me, and I know Jake and Yaz are some O.K. players." The current roster for Heroic is: Jacob "NightFall" Stanton Yaz "clowN" Ammari Sam "Devour" Chamma Grant "Griff" Hall |
