NightFall, clowN, Griff, and Devour part ways from each other as Heroic calls it quits. Announced by EFG management, this new team was to be formed to compete for a spot in the Championship Gaming Series in the upcoming months. The team initially started off with two players, Jacob "NightFall" Stanton and Yaz "clowN" Ammari. On April 24, 2007, Heroic added two more members to the roster with Grant "Griff" Hall and Sam "Devour" Chamma from Verge Gaming and were looking for their fifth and final player. However, fans anticipating who the fifth might be were instead informed today that the team-to-be would no longer come together. Heroic's IRC channel gave the explanation: "Heroic calls it quits, it has been difficult for us to find the talent necessary to succeed due to the diminishing talent pool available to us. We'll be going our separate ways." In a GotFrag forum thread, Stanton, the leader of the team, gave further insight into the situation with, "clowN backed out after a few days and I just felt that with the lack of dedication and talent that it wasn't going to be successful. At least not at this point. I talked with the rest of the team and managers and we decided it would be best to just to end it as things didn't work out the way we had hoped. I'm sure we'll all find new teams soon." |
