Counter-Strike Source: Jax at the Bridge

Is there one team in this qualifier that you’re looking to meet above all the others?

I think a team that my guys were eager to play was SXP simply because they did knock us out of the online qualifier in the first round. They had made some comments about the guys on my team that of course my guys really didn’t feel were accurate. And I feel that my guys experience shined through today and we taught them how to play on LAN.

So is that a big shut the hell up to remix?

(long pause) I think remix is a talented young player and I’m just glad my team could help him grow into a true counter-strike competitor.

Of course now you've moved into the round of top 8. Is there a team your looking forward to facing and are their any little tricks in your bag that you can give the people at home a little taste of?

As far as our chances though I feel that Source is definitely an any given Sunday type of game. We're just going to go in there tomorrow and play our best. As far as who we are afraid to play... I’m personally not afraid to play anyone but I’m not the one playing. I do think that I reflect the opinion of my guys when I say that we will go into every match with confidence.

Let me word that a little differently, who among the teams are you looking forward to playing as a test of your true skill so to speak.

There are quite a few talented teams here, among them of course zEx has really been stepping it up lately. Visual Gaming has had some impressive performances, u5 recently qualified and it will be interesting to see how we stack up against them this weekend.

Are you glad to see that the 1.6 players are finally starting to figure out Source or is it now that there are no 1.6 teams and there are no Source teams, they are all just Counter-Strike teams?

I think the biggest difference between the 1.6 organizations and the Source organizations are that we are already established upon our arrival. Simple professionalism, I mean you see some great Source teams that cant make it a few weeks without a significant roster change and I feel that the 1.6 teams have both in their actions and in their efforts shown that we are really here to compete and we are here to compete on a professional level.

You feel that the stability of the rosters in the former 1.6 teams is the key to their success?

I feel that everything from the roster stability, to the behavior, to the management, the structured management has been the key to 1.6 team’s ability to catch up.

I've got one last question, in the event that JMC is drafted but you do not become a GM or have any sort of management role, how will that affect you and how do you see that all playing out?

I think that’s something that both our DOA divisions and our Counter-Strike division and I will have to discuss when the time comes. Although I want the best for my guys I am sure there are ways to make that happen.

Thank you very much Alex and before I let you go did you have any final words?

I just want to say congratulations to my guys today, and thank you to the fans. A lot of fans actually came out to the venue to support us and that support was overwhelming that it really stood out during the match. Thank you fans, thank you guys, and we'll see you tomorrow!
