CEVO kicks off a season of Pro CS:Source that promises excitement and fierce competition. GotFrag takes a look at the teams competing in the fourth season of CEVO Professional CS: Source. ![]() USA - The bullets start flying this week for CEVO Professional CS:Source Season 4, a season that promises to be the most competitive yet. Fourteen teams will compete in the 7 week season with two matches per week starting in late August and ending in early October. All 6 CGS teams will be competing with 8 of the top CS:Source teams for a shot at some of the $10,000 dollars in prize money. In a somewhat controversial decision, CEVO admins decided to enter all CGS teams into the CEVO P league, despite the fact that only Complexity LA, Carolina Core, and San Francisco Optx earned their spots through the placement tournament or automatic berth for finishing in the top 3 during the previous season. This CEVO P season takes on more importance than previous seasons because CGS teams will be looking to maintain and hone their skills while other teams are looking to practice against the best and hopefully gain the skills and confidence to earn a spot in CGS season 2. CEVO Map Rotation: Week 1: De_Contra Week 2: De_Dust2 Week 3: De_Season Week 4: De_Inferno Week 5: De_Train Week 6: De_Russka Week 7: De_Nuke CEVO Professional will use the CGS rule set, just as was used during season 3. CGS Rule Set: * 1:20 Round Time * $16,000 Start Money * 1 round, sudden death overtime (subject to change during the regular season) * 9 Rounds Per Half * First team to win 10 rounds, wins the match Prize Distribution: 1st Place: $5,000 2nd Place: $3,500 3rd Place: $1,500 Keep your browser open to GotFrag as we deliver full, comprehensive coverage of CEVO Professional CS:Source Season 4. For TV I can understand, but for league play? Cmon..
This is why I went back to quake 4.
Looks to be an interesting 7 weeks.

YAP YAP!
CEVO used these same rules last season for CS:S Pro, the teams want to play these rules to keep play consistent between leagues.
